Such a wonderful experience made even better by amazingly warm, fun, thoughtful and deeply professional staff.

Early fog meant we had some delays taking off for understandable safety reasons. Our host Peter was brilliant, kept us informed continually. Our Pilot Simon set a great tone of informative, personal and safety conscious.

We took off between Canungra and Beaudesert and flew north for around an hour. So gentle and sensory watching birds glide below us over farms and water. Horses grazing and cantering over lush green fields.

Many of us helped ‘pack’ away the balloon after landing, that was also fun and a lovely way to be more involved and share appreciation back with the ground crew and Simon (our pilot). So many positives, these guys have taken such a hit due to no international tourism, do yourself a favour, get onto a balloon flight Balloon Aloft, a wonderful and memorable experience made even better thanks to their excellent team (especially Peter and Simon).

We had a great Balloon Flight with Balloons Aloft Gold Coast
The whole arrangements, flight and transfers were carried out professionally and succinctly by very competent and helpful staff.
The Pilot who you could see just loved his job talked about what was happening and why, pointed out the highlights below us and engaged with the clients, very positive experience.
Breakfast with bubbles at the Italian Club afterwards was a nice ending to an exciting and great morning.

We booked with Adrenaline, but the flight operated by Balllon Aloft. Very good experience though we were a bit confused on the Breakfast option. It was at the Italian Club which was OK. But not not the hinterland.
The Ballooning itself was great. I have read reviews on folks whinging about helping repack the Ballooon. Well don't wear Reboks and Givenchy in a Balloon expereince is my comment. The whole event was great.
We got lucky it seems with the weather. Other folks tried 5 times to get a flight. Wind, Rain, Fog can stop you flying for safety reasons. So book early if you are visting the Gold Coast as you may need a few morning attempts.

In short, the company admitted to a "system glitch" that resulted in them breaching their own Terms & Conditions and a 3 hour round trip on our part. Despite this they are refusing a full refund. The director is insisting that tickets are non refundable in all circumstances, even when there is error on their side and a terms and conditions breach. We are concerned that they do this to other potential customers and recommended AVOIDING. We have put a complaint on via the QLD Gov Complaints Process as all communication is in writing and so their breach is clear.

very disappointed by the poor customer service and bad business practice.

I was given a gift certificate for my 60th. with Covid affecting our way of life, like most business owners I moved into survival mode. My certificate was due to expire so I called to make a booking. when asking about social distancing issues in the basket I was lectured about ballons flying under civil aviation laws therefore not being affected by the pandemic rules.
Very little effort was made to find my certificate and I was redirected wrongly to Red Ballon.... After a few days I called back and another person easily found my certificate but then proceeded to explain that I should have taken the flight before the expiry and not just make a booking. I now would have to pay an extra $ 100 to be able to redeem my voucher that already cost $ 598. There is no mention of this rule on the certificate I was given. just a certificate number, a phone number and an expiry date.
Given the circumstances of this year, extensions on vouchers should be common practice.

Our first balloon ride and it was an amazing experience. I noticed that safety was a priority which is good. The pilot, Chris gave us a running commentary of what we were looking at as we were cruising. Did not feel unsafe at any time. We are both not fans of heights but feel safe and secure in the basket. The basket holds 24 people and we hade 18 on our trip. You are picked up and dropped off back at the same place. There is parking avail at the pickup and drop off point also. Would highly recommend this company to fly with. The only thing I think would be nice if we had some sort of steps to get in and out of the basket and it is a bit hard for us older persons.

My Son & I had a fabulous experience today flying with Balloon Aloft. So serene & calming with beautiful scenery. All staff were excellent. Happy, courteous & professional. A special mention to Gary our driver. He had a great attitude and made the journey to the launch area enjoyable.

What a horror trek to celebrate our anniversary. Arrived at the collection point to be "greeted" by a highly disgruntled staff member who was stressed about the morning logistics. After witnessing a number of tourists be "told" how things are going to work and in a manner which was culturally insensitive, the journey only got rockier. The bus driver tried to make up for lost time by thinking the bus was a v8 racecar, and several passengers were unwell. The return trip was even worse and I was so ill I had to miss the breakfast. Tried to email them for a credit or a response but couldn't even get a reply.

Hi there, this is a terribly upsetting review. We are so sorry to receive this. We have not heard anything of this day at all, but are definitely keen to investigate this further. It sounds horrible and very much out of alignment of our company operation, values and the character of our team members to behave that way. I went with my husband on Monday 10 Oct 2016 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Instead of a romantic experience, the service provided by this company was a total disappointment.
1. We never went to the Gold Coast as we paid for and as advertised on the Company's website. They used the cliché excuse "due to weather conditions we cannot fly over the Gold Coast this morning". They didn't even ask us whether we want to go to another place or not. Instead, the driver told us inside the bus that we will be going to Beaudesert. Unlike the Gold Coast, this place does not have any remarkable views worth the amount of money you pay for a Gold Coast hot air balloon ride of 30 min.
2. The staff (only 4 people) requested to my husband and other clients to help them set up the balloon. I thought to myself that it was ok for the clients to help them a bit. NONETHELESS, at the end of ride once we all got out of the basket. The staff requested again my husband and other clients to help them by putting the balloon away which meant lifting considerable weight and overall doing this that we did NOT paid for. I would like to be very clear that WE are the clients and as such we do not need to do anything apart from enjoying the ride that we paid for! We not only had to wait for 20 minutes or so until the balloon was packed but also we had to wait on a dirty and dusty road as the driver did not open the bus until they finished. I had a brief discussion with the driver about the services they provided and he was quite rude to me and said "call to the office" not even a "sorry" or nothing else.
3. We landed on a wet, dirty and dusty area. When I called a day before our ride, the guy at the office told me that the weather conditions were perfect for tomorrow's ride and that there was no need to wear too much clothes. I also asked if it would be ok to go with sandals and he said "it should be alright". Needless for me to say that at my feet got really dirty while waiting for the sfatt and the other clients to pack everything up.
As per the above reasons, I totally recommend to go with a different company. This one does not care about customer service at all. In fact, instead of us paying them, they should pay us for making the clients work for free!!

We booked our flights with 1 week in advance, during the week we started noticing some changes in the weather. Showing 98% heavy rain on the weather forecast, we wanted to change it for the following week, the person who I spoke with was extremely rude if I got that right, his name is Trevor.
He said that wouldn't change the booking, the cancellation was up to the pilot which would let us know by whatever time he decided to, could be 3 am ou right on the flight time and hung up on me.
Business fails in supplying information or details it should as per the information on the voucher, refuse to clarify questions or solve issues.
I watched the weather close on the following day as I went to work at 5am. Pick up time was 5 am, and flight should take off before the sunrise 6:30am. At 5 am was raining, and very cloudy up to 8 am; See my photos from that day bellow.
Hope that helps, do not waste your money with this business.

Hi Carolina, Thank you very much for your review. We appreciate all guest feedback as this allows us to focus on key areas in an effort to ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations. I am aware of numerous calls to the office expressing your concerns relating to the weather. On each occasion, it was explained that we had no reason to cancel at that stage, we watch the weather very closely and should anything change we would contact you directly. I personally relayed this information to you along with Trevor and his res team. I was also witness to the phone calls you had with Trevor, At no point was Trevor rude or did he hang up. Trevor is in a Senior Management role and extremely customer focused. He did however, clearly state that our pilots were the most experienced to make a call on the weather. At no stage did you request to change your flight as we would have had no issue with you doing so. Your phone calls we simply discussing pending weather. You did not change your flight so we were expecting you on the date of flight as your booking stated. As you were not at the designated collection point on the morning of flight, Our Chief Pilot phoned you to check on your whereabouts to which you replied” its raining we are not coming” Well it wasn’t raining where the scheduled flight was. We flew that morning with approximately 48 other passengers who arrived as per schedule, no other no shows. Unfortunately your decision to forecast the weather has led to you not participating in what was another amazing flight. As a gesture of good will I am willing to rebook you on a flight that will incur a re booking fee of $100.00 per person. This will be my final offer as a No Show for any flight is usually 100% cancellation fee. Regards, Anthony General Manger
