I called in about 5 days prior to coming to book the package. The lady on the phone was polite and helpful which is why we went in very optimistic. When we got there, we were greeted by a rather unpleasant man on the receiving desk. I continued to tell him that we were there to parasail, jetski, and flyboard, he proceeded to shake his head with a disappointed look on his face and asked if we had a booking. I showed him the confirmation email sent to me and he then said we couldn't do parasailing because the boat was broken. Don't get me wrong, I understand when accidents happen, they do everyday. But a call or an email to say parasailing wouldn't be possible on the expected day would have been better than a quite rudely delivered "sorry mate, sh*t happens" on the spot. We were in Gold Coast for my girlfriend's birthday for 5 days only. And each day had a schedule pre booked for the holiday to be hassle free. He asked if there were any other days we could do it. I looked on our itinerary if we had a free hour somewhere and said Wednesday morning. He replied with "nah, there's not enough bookings for parasailing that day so it wouldn't be worth it for us." He also said it would be better if we did all the activities on another day. At this point I was getting very frustrated, we were there, we were ready, and this man made us feel very unwelcome and more of a burden than customers. So I told him that I'll just cancel the booking, get a refund for whatever I've paid for so far, and I'll do these activities with another much promising company. He then changed his tone, that we could do 2 of the activities today, and he will put us on the first boat out on Wednesday. (Where was this attitude before?)
Anyway, we went flyboarding which was a rather fruitless activity as the boots were too big so we basically just kept falling into the water for 10 minutes and the guide said alright it's time to wrap it up.
Jetski was literally just going in circles around 6 floating drums in the water for 30 minutes. (If you're looking to have fun on a jetski, go on a safari, next door!)
We wrapped up that day and came back on Wednesday to do parasailing which was the only pleasant experience with this company. PK, I believe his name was, and the skipper with him on the boat were also the only 2 people who seemed keen for customers to get their money's worth. Those 2 were the only employee's that delivered good customer service. (Thanks, PK!)
The man on the desk, the driver, nor the man who did flyboarding and jetski - all seemed to not care.
Overall, my conclusion is - never again. Rude staff, meh activities (other than parasailing, which can really only go one way). Not worth your time, definitely not worth your money.
The next time we go to Gold Coast, we'll be going to the company next door. And definitely won't be taking a second glance on this one.
