This township museum showcases the rich, colourful history of the Rockhampton district. Set on 11.4 hectares you'll experience life from 1850s to 1950s. Highlights include the Hall of Clocks, a collection of restored vintage vehicles and machinery, country hospital building, the old school house, doll collection, fire station, homesteads and cottages and extensive herb garden. Sunday Markets are held on site every two months. Open 7 days 9am to 4pm.

What a great place to visit. We were fascinated by the cottage that was donated there. A lady had lived in it all her life until she died at 102 and lived in it as it was built. No water or electricity. Lovely helpful staff....More

This place is not to be missed on a trip to Rockhampton! We spent 2 hours here. Lots of things brought back memories from my childhood. A whole township replicated, full of so much history on how we lived in days gone by.
