Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a fabulous sunset cruise with Indigo Cruises. Our Captain, Ross was fantastic and our Hostess, Hannah was awesome. We will certainly recommend this bespoke 12 person max sunset cruise. It was one of the highlights on our vacation.

We had a wonderful experience with the business. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome. We found having a smaller number of guests on board (12) was great as it allowed us to mingle easily. I would definitely recommend anyone going to Port Douglas to spend a couple of hours late in the day doing this cruise.

Wonderful sunset cruise on Indigo yesterday with only 6 guests plus hosts/crew Colin & Ali. Expert, safe sailing on beautifully kept 44’ Fontaine Pajot catamaran. Sailed around The World last night (mid-sized cruise ship on which all suites are privately owned) the onward into the Coral Sea before turning back for magnificent sunset views over Port Douglas & the escarpment. Good breeze made for lumpy seas but still comfortable with full main and partly reefed foresail. Great close to a hot and steamy day coupled with a great Asian inspired menu at Salsa Restaurant.

Forget the rest , this is by far the best sunset cruise in Port Douglas , nice large modern sailing cat , and sail the whole 2 hours we did .
Only take small numbers (12) per trip , the hostess is a rear credit to this company and mingled well with all quests , always making sure there guests had their drinks when required ( BWO ) alcohol, a cheese platter was also given to each couple . We will sail with this company again next time in port

Indigo Charters was one of two Sunset Cruise providers available out of Port Douglas that we found online, and although it was slightly more expensive ($95 pp as opposed to $75), it was limited to a max of 12 people and was two hours instead of 90 minutes. We were extremely happy with the trip, and the Skipper and other crew member were very friendly and the platters were perfect to go with our BYO wine. Great evening!!

Indigo is a lovely catamaran with a maximum of 12 paying customers, so there is plenty of space - it's not jam-packed with tourists. We did the 'sunset cruise' which really only heads out into the sea at a mild pace a fairly short distance. The whole thing was 2 hours in durations which is perfect.

The crew of two put on some cheese and nibbles and we are allowed to BYO drinks. So after the initial cost of the cruise, there are no additional charges. We were a group of 4 and got chatty with the other guests so it was a very relaxing and entertaining 2 hours.

Highly recommended when in Port Douglas.

We first experienced Indigo II on a sunset cruise last year so we decided to charter the vessel for the entire day to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. What a day it was. I cannot express how impressed we all were with the day and how beautiful the Low Isles are.

The vessel is sturdy and we all felt very comfortable. The crew Colin and Hannah were amazing with guided walks and snorkeling tours making it that extra special.

The coral is stunning with heaps of fish, clams and turtles. Sitting on the beach felt like we were a million miles away.

Thank you Colin and Hannah for making this day so special and for showing us one of the most amazing places on the planet. It was a day we will never forget.

If you're looking for a lovely sunset sail, I would highly recommend Indigo! Beautiful boat. They keep the total # of guests low so that you can move freely around the boat and you're not packed in like sardines. Instead of sailing with hired crew, you sail with the owners of the boat which makes the experience that much more special. Colin and his wife are wonderful hosts. You will love it!

A sunset sail on Indigo Port Douglas is an absolute must do when visiting the area. If you do nothing else, make sure you have this on your list!
From the smaller group number of 12, beautiful vessel and professional fun crew many of the other operators will pale in comparison. We absolutely loved our evening, and next on our list is their Lunch Cruise! Thank you so much team!

Brilliant day with Indigo Port Douglas. We booked a private snorkelling day charter, which included two 4 year olds and a 12 month old. The Indigo team really know their stuff and all the family had a great time. Would absolutely do it again. PS we didn't expect the Indigo guys to look after the kids, which is fair enough, we planned around tag teaming within the family. Cannot wait to do it again.
