So great to be chauffeured by our host Randall whose dulcet tones entertained and educated us all day. We were lavished with hand sanitiser routinely throughout the day which I found reassuring. Less reassuring but more amusing was our Lady Macbeth fellow traveller diving for the bathrooms on each stop, endlessly wringing her hands under the water to be rid of the soothing sanitiser. Each to their own. Morning tea and lunch were both delicious and generous. I have recommended this trip to my friends. A great day out.

Good morning and thank you for putting a smile on my face today. I'm very pleased that you enjoyed the day with Randall, he is an exceptional guide with a wealth of knowledge and is always happy to share it with everyone on tour. Jodie our caterer will also be pleased with the catering comments as she endeavours daily to meet everyone’s dietary requirements. The added entertainment by Lady Macbeth was free of charge :) glad you thought it amusing..... We never know who we will have join us on tour ! Thank you also for the recommendation and Merry Christmas

Took this tour based on previous stellar Trip Advisor comments here, and was not disappointed. Initially, we were going to stay up at Cape Tribulation, but ended up in Port Douglas because of this tour. Steve was an excellent guide who picked us up on time from our accommodation, was super knowledgeable and personable. The tour included Mossman Gorge, a Daintree river cruise (with two big crocs - this cruise is all about seeing crocs - more likely to be seen in winter than summer), Thornton beach stop off for Daintree tea/ coffee and muffins, a little walk in the rainforest (including an amazing Boyd’s forest dragon), the sea bass (or steak or vego) lunch was very nice, a swim in a lovely river pool and a stroll on Cape Trib beach (peppermint stick insects) finished off with some exotic ice creams. While we didn’t see the famous cassowary, Steve really brought the forest alive with his passion and knowledge. As a Port Douglas resident he also gave us some great insights into the area including local Kuku Yulangi stories (as appropriate). I’m not usually a big fan of tour groups, but this was a truly great way to see the area, and see some awesome wildlife. Best endorsement was to see the teens happy all day.

Good morning Geoffrey. Thank you for taking the time to review us and Steve and how wonderful to hear that Steve made an impression on the younger generation. Preserving and protecting this Rainforest for future generations is what it’s all about and if we can help enlighten and inspire them as well as provide a worthy tour then I think we’re on the right track. Thank you for travelling with us and we hope to see you our way again.

Tony was an amazing guide and we now realise that if we had done self-drive we would not have known all the history and context of where we were. The croc river cruise was surprisingly better than I thought. Paul, our skipper, was the BEST storyteller and I now realise the difference between seeing WILD crocs vs. those in a zoo (which we didn’t do). Lunch at the amazing Noah Valley is a secret spot, a private venue, we never would have had access to otherwise. The bus was comfortable and thanks for the gluten free catering. All in all a 5-star experience.

Thank you for sharing the terrific review, again I’m flattered and it really is a team effort. From Paul the skipper of the Daintree River Cruise to the caterers that look after us on a daily basis and look after all the dietary needs to all the staff and of course the beautiful Noah Valley. I am very pleased that what I believe is a fact is shared by many on our tours. You just can’t get all this as a self driver, you would be and should be far too busy keeping your eyes on the road and miss so much. Thank you again for the review and for travelling with us.

My wife and I took a 7 hr tour of the Daintree rain forest just North of Port Douglas AU. Our guide Randall picked us up at our hotel and escorted us through this very beautiful rain forest. Small group of 8 so attention was very personalized. Included a very substantial lunch. Great operation and should not be missed if visiting this area of Australia.

Thank you Ann for taking the time to share your experience with us and everyone else. The Daintree Rainforest is very unique and Randall loves to share it with enthusiastic guests like yourself. Our team work hard to provide a balanced interesting itinerary, we try to spend as much time out of the tour vehicle enjoying the many wonderful sights that this stunning region has to offer. Thank you for your recommendation and we hope to see you back on tour again soon.

We very much enjoyed our tour, thank you! Tony was full of knowledge - some of which we have quoted since by the way (hello young red leaves) - and clearly also has a passion for the Rainforest and its inhabitants. This gave us a very good feeling and respect for the remoteness of the region, its importance to the environment, and the challenges for the folk living up there (not sure I could do that!).

The tour itself was a great combination of stops and short walks which flowed very well. The morning tea was spot on, the lunch was excellent, and the swimming hole idyllic.

Also what I really appreciated was Tony‘s efforts to introduce all of the folk on his bus to each other, as this facilitated interactions between the group, making for a very comfortable and congenial day. He clearly not only likes the Daintree, but also people, which we could really feel.

Neither my husband or I can think of a single thing that we would recommend improving or changing - it was excellent, thank you again!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I don't take too many tours these days as I have a superb small team of guides who are not only reliable but also very passionate and knowledgeable in all aspects of the Daintree Rainforest. It was truly a pleasure to show you around the Daintree area and spend another day in this beautiful and precious place that I call home. Hope you can visit us again soon.

My partner and I travelled to Port Douglas in wet season (and post Covid) so it was extremely quiet. Despite having only four people on the tour, Tony’s Tropical Tours honoured the tour which resulted in an extremely intimate experience. Due to the season, we practically had every site to ourselves! Randall was our tour guide - he was funny, informative and never made us feel rushed. We had a beautiful swim in a private swimming hole and even saw crocodiles AND a cassowary!! An unforgettable experience that I will recommend to everyone!

Thank you for your lovely comments and feedback of your day exploring the Daintree Rain forest with Tony's Tropical Tours. The small groups make the day more personal and I am very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your day with Randall. Our priority is customer service and although the tour did run at a loss it’s comments and reviews as yours which keeps us going. Sharing the best of the Daintree Rainforest is very important to us and we want every guest to feel that it was value for money and not something that they could have achieved on their own and without the knowledge of a guide it would mean very little. I very much appreciate hearing from guests so thank you again for taking the time to write and hope we have you back on board with us one day soon.

We knew we were going to an amazing place. The A Tour with Steve made it even more special. He was informative and engaging and we enjoyed spending the day with him and the small group of other tourists. The logistics were easy and we highly recommend Tony’s Tours.

What fantastic praise and another great 5 star review, thank you for taking the time to write this. We live in a precious environment and I know that Steve has a passion for it and is always willing to share his expertise with everyone on board. I think it helps that we keep the tour groups small and personal and this also makes the day more enjoyable for our guides and it shows. Thanks again for the recommendation.

I chose the day tour provided by Tony's Tropical Tours. Our tour guide was Steve and we had a small group of 7 travelling in a comfortable van. I learnt a lot that day thanks to Steve's extensive knowledge of the environment and its ecology. Steve pointed out several types of insects, reptiles, bird and plant life with passion (almost as passionate as our late Steve Irwin). Steve was very mindful of COVID related circumstances, time frames and everyone's comfort zones. We had a lovely morning tea before boarding our Daintree River Cruise where we spotted two crocodiles, one aptly named Scarface. Our lunch was cooked in time for our arrival at a private rainforest property within the Noah Valley - we were the only group. I had the grilled Coral Trout fish which I highly recommend. After the lunch there was time for a swim in the safe end of the Noah Valley river - beautiful spot. On the way back from Cape Tribulation to Port Douglas we stopped at Daintree Ice Cream for a treat - very unique flavours you cannot miss out. Overall a fantastic day had by all I'm sure. Thanks Steve.

With the Daintree and Cape Tribulation tour, we saw more places and experienced more things than we would have otherwise. Our guide Rob had extensive local knowledge and did a great job, and everything was very well organised. I would recommend Tony's if you would like to support a smaller company and receive more personalised service rather than being part of a large crowd.

Thanks for sharing the experience you had with Tony's Tropical Tours. Rob is certainly a great guide, and we are very fortunate to have him as part of our small team. We do try and make sure that all our small groups experience their day in the Daintree Rainforest in privacy, trying to stay away from crowds and not feel rushed while also covering the highlights on offer. So, thank you for noticing. Of course, this is made even more possible by the guide and Rob is professional, passionate, knowledgeable with a great sense of humor as well. Thanks again for the feedback and choosing our tour.

We went on the full day tour with Jens as a family of four - our guide Jens was great he was very knowledgeable and made the day interesting and was great fun. The day was extremely well organised and went without a hitch. It was the highlight of our stay. Jens even made my grumpy teen join in which was no mean feat! 🤣 I would highly recommend doing this if you are holidaying in the area.

Hats off to Jens, if he can please a teen, he’s done an extremely good job. In all seriousness though, Jens is a great guide with a sense of humour unmatched! He does a great job guiding for young and the not so young and nothing pleases him more than to know he has succeeded in ensuring all guests leave knowing they had a great day. Thank you for this review, I’m certain Jens will be very happy to read it.
