We had a very enjoyed day trip to Kuranda. Pick up and return from Port Douglas. Chris was an excellent tour guide - very friendly and kept us entertained with stories on the history of this area as well as own stories on life in North Queensland. Train trip up was spectacular and sky rail down as well. Chris ensured we felt safe and personally escorted us onto the train and to the sky rail, as well as meeting us on each arrival and driving us even a short distance into Kuranda. 2+ hours in Kuranda ensured we could visit all the markets plus enjoy a relaxing lunch. Excellent day Chris and this tour comes with the highest recommendation.

We completed Brett’s Kuranda skyrail and railway tour on 7th May and Chris and Andrea were our guide and driver and very informative and knowledgeable.
We finished on the train upgrading to gold class which highly recommend upgrading this part of the tour and the staff on the train could not of been more attentive.
This is a must do when visiting Cairns and Port Douglas!!!

If you are looking for an authentic tour to explore Port Douglas with an authentic guide and all round great bloke, look no further then Brett's Outback and Kuranda tours.

My partner and I travelled from NSW and went along with Brett for both the Kuranda and foodie tours. Brett is so knowledgeable about the area, passionate about where he lives and most of all sharing that with others. Couldn't recommend him enough!

The process of getting there and arranging logistics could also not have been possible with the amazing Andrea who keeps you updated every step of the way!!

Thanks guys 🪴🌻🙂🍹

During the COVID-19 apocalypse of 2020

We had the privilege of doing a tour with Brett

Before going further book the Gold pass on the rail trip

The day started by being picked up from our accommodation at 11.00 am.
The trip to Kuranda was full of facts and fun information to keep us all interested and amused.
Sadly (not for us) Kuranda was a ghost town with many business may never reopen. It was great to spend a few hours getting a nice feed and wandering around the shops that were open and just enjoying Kuranda itself.

From here the tour went down hill (pun intended)

We boarded the Kuranda scenic rail trip down the range

Did I mention to pay the extra and go gold class

While enjoying the train trip we were supplied with drinks and nibblies all the way down while enjoying the views from our windows.

When we arrived at the station Brett was waiting for us to start our journey back to Port Douglas with one last detour to a lovely SLSC for a cocktail overlooking the beach a one last group chat before outlast leg home.

To top of the end of a great day Brett gave us the option to be dropped off at our accommodation or down town where we could finish our day with a great dinner

Such an awesome day highly recommend

The favorite part of this experience is the whole event wisely organised, run on time with plenty of information delivered in clear way. Driver Chris was very cool in his appearance and personality. Very knowledgeable and very polite. Sky rail was outstanding with friendly staff helping with the changing over gondolas. The view is breathtaking. You almost touch the treetops and can hear the birds singing! Gondolas give you the sense of freedom, floating gentle in the sky. Baron falls were clearly visible from both sky rail and train. I wish I had upgraded the train carriage to golden. You need that treat. Carriages were beautiful decorated with old photos showing the train rail construction over the time. Cool air was coming from the windows with plenty of opportunities to shoot the perfect photo. Palm cove was such a treat at the end of the trip. Walking and drinking a refreshing moctail made of passion fruit, mango, pineapple and orange, by the crystal-clear waters of the calm Coral Sea. The way back was another treat with great music and views of the Coral Sea and northern beaches.

Thanks for the wonderful review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed the whole experience and that it was well-organised and informative. We're glad to know that Chris was a cool and knowledgeable driver who made the trip enjoyable. It's great to hear that you had a fantastic time on the sky rail and that the staff were friendly and helpful. The view is definitely breathtaking and the gondolas give a sense of freedom. We're thrilled that you were able to see the Baron Falls from both the sky rail and train. We're sorry you didn't upgrade to the golden carriage, but it's great to hear that you still enjoyed the train ride and that the carriages were beautifully decorated. We're glad you had a wonderful time in Palm Cove and enjoyed the refreshing mocktail. Thank you for choosing us and we hope to see you again soon!

This is an all day tour of the Atherton Tablelands with nary a dull moment. There were 5 stops with several of them only opening just for our tour bus. Brett is a fountain of knowledge and he is passionate about the area. Our stops ranged from a local creamery to a coffee tour around the world and distillary with world renowned winning gins. Brett brought our tour group together and was informative, fun and kept us all in line and on time with all we did

Had a wonderful experience riding the Kuranda Scenic Railway on the way up, and the Sky Cable car down. Also enjoyed the few hours spent shopping and eating in Kuranda. Our guide Towie was informative and diligent keeping our small group together and the tour on time

We had a wonderful time on our trip; picked up in Port Douglas, via Palm Cove, then to the Kuranda Train, spent some time in the village, and then down on the Skyrail, picked up and back to Port Douglas.

Our guide for the day was Dale. He was full of information about the area and clearly loves where he lives. His stories were informative and entertaining!

We would definitely recommend this trip.

We were lucky enough to book the Food tour through the Table lands in Cairns. It was a great experience with our guide and owner of this company. We started the tour with a lovely breakfast over-looking a lake, followed by tea and cheese, don't forget to look for the elusive tree kangaroo in this spot and no not it's not a bird! The sheer beauty of the countryside and a lovely lunch with local ingredients (kangaroo/Crocodile meat with local wines were delicious. The afternoon was followed by chocolates, coffee and spirits. We couldn't have spent a better day. Our guide is very passionate and knowledgeable about this area of Caines. Book it, you will spend the day in awe and a full belly.

We went on the Food and Wine full day bus tour through the Tablelands with our host Brett - this is definitely a 10/10 experience and highly recommended. Outside of the trying what the Tablelands has to offer, we also got a scenic experience with a host who is very knowledgeable on the regions information. Would highly recommend this tour to any travelers and locals (we had Cairns locals on our tour and they were also quite surprised with how much they learnt about the region). Our host Brett made sure the day was relaxing, fun and enjoyable. We will definitely join in on another of his tours during our next visit.
