Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Passions of Paradise team are friendly, helpful and full of knowledge. This tour was well worth the price and every effort was made to make all passengers feel welcome and safe. The staff took the time to check that the passengers were enjoying their experience and offer extra assistance when necessary. Travelling with a 10 year old child with limited snorkelling experience in open water was made much easier by the helpful crew who guided her around the snorkelling site with a life ring to hold on to. They gently encouraged and cheered her on, making for a successful snorkelling adventure. Nothing was too much trouble for this crew. The sites were colourful and populated by bright, active fish and the moorings were close to the reef for easy access. Lunch was delicious. Thanks to everyone on the Passions of Paradise team. Your systems work well, from the booking process (both online and then on the phone when changing our booking to add in a dive), the check in process and the tour itself. Particularly all the safety checks to ensure everyone was accounted for. All of these things make a big contribution to the overall experience, however the true value lies in the Passions staff, they are a credit to the company and made our tour thoroughly enjoyable.

Excellent trip to the Great Barrier Reef. The crew was amazing and extremely professional. Russel looked after us while in the water and provided great support for people who were not confident with the swimming. They have all the equipment required for scuba diving and snorkeling. They provide food, tea and coffee and you can purchase alcohol to the bar at very decent prices. They also have a crew member taking photos in the water and you have the possibility of purchasing them once the trip is over. Totally recommend.

So glad we chose this tour. We felt immediately a part of the Passions 3 family. It is locally owned and a great deal of time and education goes into the conservation of the wonderful Great Barrier Reef. Their care and attention of my husband who has a bit of a tricky heart was outstanding. So he could enjoy the reef, Russell the marine biologist personally escorted us snorkelling so we could marvel at the biodiversity of thousands of fish, the coral and other creatures. Simon was also exceptional and how can we go past Captain Craig who is multi talented and perhaps should be nominated for an Oscar.
Highly recommended tour.

My boyfriend and I did two introductory dives just yesterday and it was amazing!
Due to my medical history I was not able to go scuba diving on the day we planned to but they just rebooked us for the next day (free of charge) which was even better because we saw a lot of marine wildlife!
We went to two spots in Milln reef where you cannot just find colourful corals, but also sea turtles, rays and lots different fish including the amazing parrotfish and clownfish. We even were lucky enough to swim with a four meter long minkewhale! Diving with these animals is an unforgettable experience!
The dive was super easy thanks to the amazing crew. They explained the theory very well and help you with getting into the gear. My boyfriend and I had our own dive instructor Simon who was great! I felt very safe when diving with him and he guided us to some really nice spots. Passions of Paradise even has a marine photographer on board who is taking photos of you and the wildlife! The photos Sota took are amazing and definitely worth to purchase!
After the scuba dive you have enough time to do some snorkelling on your own.
The food on board is very tasty. They provide you with a vegetarian-friendly buffet for lunch with hot and cold dishes, as well as fruit, tea and coffee.
On the way back to Cairns Russell held a presentation about the reef and about taking action to save it which was very interesting and fun to listen to thanks to his humour. I personally like that Passions of Paradise are helping to save the GBR and also the rainforest with numerous of different projects.
As a conclusion - This trip is definitely worth your money! Don’t be afraid of going scuba diving because it’s a whole different experience than just snorkelling and you will remember it your whole life, that’s for sure!

Very impressed by the entire organization!
If you want to spend a day on the Great Barrier Reef! Don’t look further please!
These guys know what they are doing and they do it goooood! As a dive instructor myself I was super impressed by the level of professionalism of the instructors. Amazing briefing (by Ada) and execution under water! Congratulations ladies and gentlemen! Special thanks to our personal instructor Nivi who was simply the best!
The vessel is very spacious, super clean and amazingly comfortable! If you need a break from the sun there is also a lot of space in the shade.
I went with my group of 17 people in total and some of them got sick! The staff was super, genuinely caring and helping the people that didn’t feel well. Thanks for that!
The food was delicious! There was a buffet with very tasty and healthy food!
Can only recommend this amazing company. Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward for the next trip!
Thanks from me and the entire group!

Had rotten weather , large sea’s and people throwing up everywhere, but we had an absolute ball. Once at the reef, though still a bit choppy, the snorkling was great and we saw lots of fish and coral. The best part of the whole day was the crew. They were cheery , even while collecting spew bags and bent over backwards to interact with every passenger on a one to one basis. Simon, the purser , was outstanding . The crew was young, but very understanding of every ones needs. Vinney made an outstanding lunch and his fudge was to die for. This is the operator you need to use when you want to got to the reef.

First time on the reef and a intro dive.
A beautiful craft, there was so much deck space, never felt at all crowded. (They don't pack people on anyway)
We were made to feel very welcome, and through out the trip, their hospitality was excellent.
Simon was our buddy diver, and whilst we were not at all nervous, his skill in observation of us not really knowing anything about diving, ensured we did everything right. The dive was great fun with him.
Snorkelling twice, we saw lots of soft and hard coral and very colourful fish.
I partly chose Passions, on other recommendations, and the fact the craft was a catamaran with a massive mask. The trip back, the huge sail went up, and it made for a yachting experience on the return trip. Absolutely fantastic. No other craft offers this sail experience to my knowledge.
Highly recommend, thanks for a great day. Derek and Paul, Melbourne

We had the best time with Passions on our snorkel and dive trip. We put a lot of research into who we wanted to use and these guys didn’t disappoint. Personable and professional from start to end. We loved the different reef spots. Able to see turtles, nemo and a shark. Learned a lot on the way back with Russell’s presentation and really just had a nice relaxing time. We were very impressed!

Massive thanks to the crew on board Passions III who took me out to the Great Barrier Reef today. Two fantastic dives, some awesome snorkelling, fresh fruit platters and a fantastic cooked lunch. Big thank you to Kirsty and Remi for the dives - always felt completely safe but they both also allowed me to explore without feeling like it was too close to a guide. And to Russell; your joking personality was a great addition for a solo traveller, always bringing the laughs. Would highly recommend this very professional crew!

A wonderful experience, the superstar crew were fun, friendly, always smiling, knowledgeable, passionate and professional. They looked after everyone from the moment we stepped foot on the boat. Just amazing. Highly recommend this crew. The reef was just spectacular, plenty snorkelling and diving time. A great day all round.
