Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This is an excellent playground set in a larger park that is very good spot for all ages, not just the kids. There are lawns, tables, BBQs, shady trees and a cafe nearby. No doubt though the figtree is the highlight here. It is a massive tree with many aerial 'curtain roots' around which a large tree house of sorts has been built. There are slides, bridges and tunnels built into the structure and the whole thing should provide kids with hours of imagination-filled fun and games. And of course being under that giant tree, it's all in the shade too.

We loved the Figtree Playground and I think it was one of the best playgrounds I have seen in Australia. The kids loved the playground and climbing around the tree. Even as an adult you can climb up the playground and check out the views for the top.
Lots of shade to place a picnic rug and lots of eating options close by.
I'd recommend visiting here in the late afternoon before heading off for dinner at one of the lovely places near the wharf.

What an excellent playground for children of all 👯 ages, even I walked through the labyrinth of ropes & ladders! The tree 🌳 is absolutely amazing in size and beauty, it is simply gorgeous! I was very impressed with the creativity and the safety aspects of this fun playground. It has obviously been a well thought out construction that weaves around the beautiful tree without causing any harm to it. I thoroughly loved ❤️ this place and would definitely recommend you pay it a visit!

We loved this playground. Lots for kids to explore and space to run around. Beautiful setting and close to the new brewery!

Park doiminated by a large complicted multi trunked fig tree that gave my 8 yr old granddaughter a couple of hours climbing pleasure. Genreally safe if adults are present - and usually there are several about at popular times

Good play area for children. The cafe there is good valve for meals and close to the playground. Right on the wharf and close to CBD. Parking is a bit of issue but there is a car park nearby but you have pay but worth not having to drive round to try and find a car park.

Great playground for kids - they enjoyed running around and having fun. My only concern was the kids could easily run around the playground and come out at a completely different area which made it hard for me to keep a good eye on them and feel they were safe.

There's not a huge range of equipment at this playground but our kids had an hour there and loved it. It's charming how a lot of the structure is built around the roots of a huge fig (?) tree.

This is just not a playground...it is a living, breathing piece of the beautiful tropics located alongside Trinity Inlet, next to a great little cafe, open grassed areas, with sculptures of birds and marine life nearby, close to the CBD, located close to public facilities, ie. BBQ areas, car park and toilets, the Marina, hotels, casino and wharf.
It just happens to be a playground - and the kids just love it. In fact, so do the adults.

This is a great little park right near the Trinity Inlet. Built in and around a Fig Tree, it offers lots of fun time for kids with imagination. Seats around the outside are sometimes in the shade, so take some sunscreen. A cafe nearby allows for nice coffee and nibbles. Also, not much a walk from the Esplanade and all it has to offer as well.
If you have kids, definitely worth visiting.
