Visited the Dome first thing in the morning which enabled us to access all the talks by the very knowledgeable staff. My main aim was to get a photo with a koala so booked the first photo session at 09.30 went upstairs to have a look around until it was time for the photo session, the area is not overly... More

This is a small area with a few animals to look at. Having paid only $6 on a discount web site, it was a very nice hour-long activity. It is definitely not worth the regular entry fee of $24 plus extra costs to do any of the climbing activities. We listened to a great presentation on the kuala bear. If... More

The wildlife section is admittedly small (mostly birds, reptiles, and their beloved croc Goliath) but they don't advertise themselves as a zoo. They use every bit of space they have efficiently. We did both ZOOM ropes courses and had an absolute blast. My brother isn't fond of heights but he was still able to complete both courses. What made the... More

Right in top of the Casino. Birds flying free and many animal exhibits. You have to meet Goliath the 4m saltie. The walk outside the dome is breath taking. Great time has by all.

This is a definite must see when in Cairns. Spent the afternoon there and had a ball. The highlight would have to be the drop from the high platform which was exhilarating for want of a better word. Great for the young or young at heart.

Animal enclosure does not contain half of the listed animals, feeding show only applied to birds and not other animals though it was not supposed to be limited to birds. Koala photo for $25 was a very disappointing rip off. You are given less than 2 seconds with a very zoned out koala where they quickly place it on you... More

Sweaty and fun. This is our third year in a row. We only come for the ropes - the animal presentations are never on at times that we are there.

Took my 3yo to pat a crocodile which she loved. The baby croc was pretty wiggly and active if your little one is afraid of animals. She also patted a snake. It wasn't particularly pram friendly with lots of stairs. They let you take ice creams into it which was nice as it was hot. Lots of Australian animals which... More

First I was surprised to learn that there was a zoo on top of a building, and when I visited it I felt very sorry for the animals there. The gorgeous cockatoo is kept in a tiny cage after it’s been shown to the visitors. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the poor bird locked in such a... More
