Green Island is a lovely trip. It is obviously geared for tourists so don't expect it not to be busy because you will be one of the tourists too! Clear ocean waters to snorkel. The colourful fish are wonderful to see. Beautiful sandy beach.
Terrific attraction but try to get the earliest boat that gets out there- when the tide goes out it makes snorkeling more difficult. Much to see-swim out and best coral is along the dock. Hire the lycra suit!
We visited the island for a day trip, as a large family with friends, 16 in total (aged from 3yrs old to 70)
We all had a great day on the beach and snorkelling. Even got to swim alongside some turtles in the sea.
The island is beautiful. I could see schools of colorful fishes from the jetty, more fishes and 1 turtle from the glass bottom boat and a few fishes while snorkeling from the beach.
Although there were lots of tourists and I could not snorkel too...More

If you go to Green Island - around the old underwater observatory (beach side) at the jetty you will see 'Nemo'. There is a lot of coral, fish and rays. Green Island also has the largest Crocodile in captivity. Feeding shows are twice daily and the Crocodile farm is worth a visit. We did it all outer-reef, Green and Fitzroy Island all trips were great!
