-Behana Gorge is absolutely gorgeous. Views are stunning! It's roughly a 45 minute walk (depending on fitness level) and has a very good, wide pathway all the way to the waterfall. -awesome photo opportunities so take your camera -safe to swim in ( no crocs or stingers) - Certain sections of the pathway are quite steep but if you just... I walked Behana gorge with my 6 month old in my ergo carrier. Definitely a mission but so worth it at the end. I wasn't fit as such but I did it and had a nice swim at the end. Concrete path the entire way. Awesome scenic place to go!!

Behana gorge is simply beautiful, when you arrive. The walk to Behana is reasonably difficult, with many long steep hills on the journey. However, when you arrive at the gorge, it is definitely worth the walk. The water is cold, clean and refreshing flowing from a large waterfall in the upper deep pool. I'd recommend bringing a picnic and spending... More

Had a fantastic day. It was exciting and challenging. I had to step out of my comfort zone a few times but was glad for it afterwards. Dom and Wendy were great hosts. Knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this trip for those seaking a bit of adventure.

This is a nice escape from the more touristy areas within Cairns. The gorge was mostly empty since it was close to summer when we arrived but it was still nice to see water flowing and the large boulders and abundant plant life. Would come here again.

Me and 3 other people did this hike, we were told to bring lots of water and be ready for a fairly long trek. This place kicked our butts, we hike a lot but the heat is what gets you, Be very very careful if you decide to go on this hike. The swim after the hike felt sooo good,... More

If you go canyoning with Behana Days, you'll see this waterfall up close and personal. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it as a trip by itself, because as many reviewers note, it would be a long walk up a steep road, but if you go canyoning with Behana Days, you'll get driven right up close to the waterfall, and have an...
