This was probably pumping pre COVID
Mum: the Mango Bar is lovely, so fresh and delicious. The skewer places are both good as is the beautiful Pho Street. Actually all the places on Abbot street were good. Beyond the Abbott st entrance there were a lot of massage places and the lines suggest some of them are really good. But the rest of the stores weren’t our thing.

Worth a visit if you're in the area but not what I had hoped / expected
Worth a visit for something to do, but unfortunately most of the stalls were the same mass produced souvenir shops that you see everywhere in Aus, and loads of massage places. A couple of cool shops but nothing to write home about. Didn't try the food court but all was very busy. Atmosphere was awesome on a warm Cairns night, very central and right opposite the public open pool and other restaurants etc.

    Night Market fun
Really a cool experience, lots of booths to walk through which opens up into a gigantic food court with many choices, mainly Asian cuisine of various types. It was fun trying a few different booths and we went back a second night to hit a couple. T

    Definitely worth a wander through!
Our family enjoyed a wander around the markets! Nice way to spend a bit of time before going out for dinner! Yes lots of massage places, souvenirs etc but some little cool stalls too! Def worth a wander! We didn’t eat in the food court mainly because I’d read the reviews here haha!

    Markets
The food doesn’t look that inviting. I would think it needs either a new refurb where the food is - or open it up more for a market style food. The markets themselves- a lot of the same stuff. Lots of massage places, in fact too many.

Very interesting place. Lots of stalls. Cheap to expensive and everything you could think of. Be careful if buying animal products. We are from New Zealand and knew that crocodile goods needed an Import Document CITES as they are on the endangered species list even though they are farmed in Australia. We were offered a photocopy of the documents required but didn’t trust it so didn’t buy. Buy these goods from a reputable store. Great food hall, mostly Asian food but very tasty. Has bar facility in restricted area also. Well worth a visit. We went 2 nights and saw new stuff each time. Something here for everyone.

Was a bit disappointing, probably one of the worst markets I’ve been to. Lots and I mean lots of seedy little massage places, a few cheap souvenir shops and a large foodcourt which was all Asian food. There’s honestly much better places to spend your time at. Only worth a look if you’ve got nothing else to do.

Disappointing. Great food court area but other than that. A few so so souvenir places, and lots of places to get a cheap massage... Was looking forward to the 'markets'. Even put of buying stuff elsewhere anticipating a great place for shopping but I was sadly disappointed.

We decided to give the night markets a go even though recent reviews were poor. The massage places were crazy busy but generally the stalls of goods weren’t great (tat) or different (just the usual).
