Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I did the Cairns to Cooktown trip with FNQ Motorcycle tours and it was sensational.
We travelled up the coast road past Port Douglas which is one of the most scenic rides I have ever done. Next we crossed the Daintree River by ferry and stopped to explore Daintree national park.
Once past Cape Tribulation we hit the iconic Bloomfield track. Its an off-road track with a few shallow water crossings but the Enfield Himalayans were perfectly suited to this terrain. In fact the bikes were solid on and off the tarmac, giving a nice comfortable ride the entire trip.
A night at the famous Lions Den was followed the next day by an exploration of Cooktown and surrounds.Phil the tour leader provided snacks and drinks and a well planned itinerary with plenty of places to stop and enjoy.
If you are looking for a relaxed and enjoyable motorbike tour of Queenslands famous far north then I can highly recommend this trip. We covered a fair bit of ground over three days and two nights but I feel like I could have kept going for even longer.
Well organised and highly entertaining trip. Can definitely recommend.

G'day. Recently did a 7 day trip with Phil and the team from Cairns up to "The Tip" Cape York on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411's. Met a great bunch of guys and had a blast. The bikes took an absolute hammering on the dirt roads with 7 or more water crossings and coragations for klm after klm but all 8 bikes made it. Not one single issue. Man they are tough, amazing bikes and perfect for the older rider to do that ride.
However, I originally booked and booked tickets for an earlier date then was told I would have to re-book flights and accommodation to a later date.
On the last day of the tour, we all could go for a helicopter ride around "The Tip" BUT Phil told us one couldn't go due to the helicopter could only take 3 at a time and that meant a flight with only one person as we were 7 people..Stupidity I siad OK I wont go but I thought about it and really wanted to go as I came from NZ to do this trip and would love to see the top from the air. I asked Phil if I could do it please but he told me NO. He had told the pilot no more. I was "pissed off" big time.
Suggestions - I personally think more planning and thought is needed in the future for costings and like a simple huddle in the morning to tell us, this is the plan for today. Communication is not great but still had a good time. Well worth doing for the older person who wants to go up there.
