Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The crew was magnificent! I felt truly cared for - from the initial welcoming to the disembarkation. I saw more underwater life than I ever expected. Not to be missed!!

Me and my partner enjoyed a great day snorkelling with Reef Daytripper. We spent a total of 3 hours between two locations at the reef where we were lucky enough to see an abundance of amazing marine life, including reef sharks, stingrays, and even a turtle!

Both snorkelling sessions offered guided tours with one of the crew, which helped in making the most of each stint in the water.

The journey out and back to shore takes around 90 mins, so bear that in mind, but it offers a great chance to relax and unwind as you enjoy views of Cairns and beyond.

The lunch is on the light side, however it is a nice touch. A glass of wine and some cheese and crackers to end the boat ride was more than welcome.

If you want a relaxed, informative, and fun trip to the Great Barrier Reef, choose this company!

Crew were really friendly, informative and supportive. My adult daughter is a confident swimmer and diver whilst I am a very poor swimmer and needed a lot of practical support to snorkel. Both of us had a fab day and saw a lot of marine life. The focus of the day is the snorkelling and diving but the food was also nice and there was asocial or aspect too.

The trip was incredible!! Highly recommend! Small boat so you get personal attention and the crew is fantastic at taking care of everything! I was able to add an afternoon dive once on the boat. This trip is the best way to see the Great Barrier Reef!!

What a fantastic way to see the reef. Small group, great boat with plenty of room and the crew were so friendly and accommodating. There was no hussle and bussle or lining up for things like I saw in the marina as we walk to our boat and stepped straight on. I image standing in line would probably continue throughout the day in a large group on a large boat, but not on ours.

The food was good and there was plenty of it. we had two snorkling or diving sessions of around 90 minutes, 30 minutes if you were diving but it was up to you which way you went. All in all I am really pleased that I chose Reef Daytripper

We did this day tour with my partner. We wanted to discover GBR on smaller boat with less people on the boat. Bingo, success!
Just 17 of as plus the crew. We had a great day out on the reef. Captain and crew were very attentive. We snorkel at 2 locations. Back we sailed:)! Comfortable boat, not crowded and affordable price. 5star

So lucky to go in a small group with amazing friendly crew. Food was great and plenty. Luke, Julian and Michaila took care of and briefed what to do and not to take care of the reef. Since I wasn’t too confident to go on my own Luke guided me around to spots to get the most of the snorkeling experience. It is nothing but praise.

Friendly staff, lovely food and the reef was looking healthy and full of life. Plenty of tropical fish, giant clams and even a few types of reef shark which was a treat! The smaller boat is perfect if you want a more personal and intimate experience. Would highly recommend.

This trip was recommended to us by our daughter who had been earlier this year. We loved it - the smaller group size was great and meant you could experience the reef without the crowds. Crew were great and the food provided was enjoyable too. We would recommend.

Great day scuba diving and snorkelling on the reef. The crew were lovely and very helpful. They also provided help to those who weren’t confident swimmers. We were able to upgrade on the day to add on a scuba dive, managed to see lots of colour fish fish and marine life. Also provided a great buffet for lunch and snacks with wine included.
