Kids (4 and 12) loved the gondola ride over the rainforest. Was easy paced and we could make several stops and enjoy the views. Definitely recommend!

It's for the bus between the railway station and the skyrail depot where your car is. It's a fair distance away.

We did Skyrail up and train down which I think is the most popular combination. Skyrail is one way not to miss.

I would suggest you check for tours to the Daintree Rainforest. It isn't far from Cairns, so you should be able to find one that suits the limited time you will have in the area.
