Arrived right on open time, hadn’t made a booking and got straight onto the first pod. Great views, very high up, and a smooth ride considering. We wanted to hike back from Barron Falls. At the Barron Falls station, two of the lovely rangers told...More

This is a way up or down the mountain as you visit the artist community of Kuranda. It’s a nice day trip to go have lunch and visit some of the art galleries. The Sky Rail offers expansive views of the area.

This is a great experience for all and an enjoyable way to see this amazing forest. I felt safe on the sky rail, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this experience.

Amazing cable cars with some of the best views I've ever seen. I also hated every second of it! Well, only because I'm scared of heights. This is absolutely incredible, an amazing thing to do as a family and especially if unlike me you aren't...More

The Skyrail cable car offered great views of the tropical rainforest, it takes 40mins to go across but there are 2 stops (Red Peak and Baron Falls) where you can walk through the forest and see the Baron Falls. You end up at Kuranda village...More

Skyrail gives the opprtunity to see the rain forrest from adifferent angle. Everything else on this tour is just expensive and a waste of time. At least the part of the city we have seen is just a shopping mall. The scenic train is slow,...More

We enjoyed the ride and seeing the rainforest at ground level. We have trains like this at home so it was probably a less unique experience for us, but the history they told during the ride was interesting. The waterfall view was not as amazing...More

Lots of international tourists visit this place and you have to wait in line for everything, was quite frustrating. Lines for: - tickets - getting on the skyrail - you have to get off the skyrail at each change over station (from memory there were...More

It's for the bus between the railway station and the skyrail depot where your car is. It's a fair distance away.

We did Skyrail up and train down which I think is the most popular combination. Skyrail is one way not to miss.

I would suggest you check for tours to the Daintree Rainforest. It isn't far from Cairns, so you should be able to find one that suits the limited time you will have in the area.
