You can't go to Queensland without a trip to the Great Barrier reef, and this is a good way to go. The reef is best viewed from the submersible, so don't miss that. Michaelmas Cay is a mere strip of sand , so don't expect anything there. We might have seen more colorful fish and reef if we'd taken a... More

The tour was definitely worth the money! We saw everything we wanted and more. The semi sub marine was a great touch that allowed us to see more of the reef than we were expecting - even a sea turtle. The added touch of champagne, cheese and crackers was a great way to finish off a perfect day. I would... More

Decided to do this the day before and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The food was good, there was ample morning snack food, lunch, then fruit and cheese. The staff behind the counter were very polite and obliging. The boats to the Cay were regular and the biologist informative. Equipment was also good. Decided to do a dive on the day... More

Picked up on time by the coach, well presented driver, different company took us back, nowhere near as professional! Pick up costs extra. long queue to get tickets. Clean, well presented catamaran, briefings on board very good, staff helpful & professional. Food good, well presented. Semi submersible, very good commentary but the corals had spawned so visibility was poor. Amazing... More

I had a really nice day on board the Ocean Spirit. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food selection for lunch was very nice. Michaelmas Cay was a beautiful location to snorkel from. Everything you needed for the day was included as I spoke to other people who went on different tours had to pay for things like... More

A trip out to the reef is always a great experience. The Ocean Spirit is an elegant vessel for up to 120 people. If full it is surely very crowded. Our cruise had only 60 % occupancy - very comfortable. The boat however is getting old - if you look carefully it shows. A careful, extensive overhaul is overdue! Then... More

Michaelmas was the first GBR trip of our Honeymoon using the Quicksilver 3-Day Ultimate Pass (which is great value). The trip out was very comfortable on Ocean Spirit. The boat had its sails up on a beautiful sunny day and we immediately felt we were heading to paradise. The Cay itself is stunning in its beauty. Please ignore the reviews... More

The outer Barrier Reef, stopping at Michaelmas Cay and watching an amazing array of birds. Semi sub trip was great - we even saw a turtle under the sea, and again on top. Lunch was delicious. Great, unhurried day, and most people could manage it.
