    1 Day Daintree experience
A varied tour with many activities to experience the Daintree from cruising the river down to time to swim at a fresh water creek. Driver/guide Daniel also assists in other ways such as assisting to serve lunch. A day packed with activities. Unique vehicles and an all round enjoyable experience.

The best day ever, you must do it!
We went on the Chillagoe Caves & Outback Adventure our tour guide was Gavin & Angus was a training guide. We had the best day in the outback, Gav was so knowledgeable he has so many wonderful stories, kept us well entertained. The caves have to be seen to believe how amazing this area filled with history is. All the stops gave us opportunities to soak up the great Australian outback. We had lots of laughs & couldn’t have had a better day. The 4 wd vehicle was very comfortable & well air conditioned. Can highly recommend!

    Great Company tours.
We did a few tours while in Cairns but the one with billy Tea Safari's was the best of them. The tour it's self was set out great time wise. Mark was a great guide. I mean, when you are told its ok to swim in a waterhole and 25 mtrs & facing the other way is a sign warning of crocs, you have to trust the guy. (fresh water runs into salt water, he explained it)

    Amended Daintree etc trip
Did this trip today. Emma our guide was very knowledgeable & shared lots with us about the rainforest. Sadly as a result of the cyclone damage we couldn’t visit Cape Tribulation so our itinerary had to be jigged around which was disappointing but obviously not something that Emma or the company could control. Trip on Daintree river pleasant, although all the crocodiles seemed to be hiding. Mossman Gorge nice & the opportunity for a paddle/dip was welcomed. Lunch stop - a hot meal provided & the Barramundi was very good

    Excellent day tour
We did the Chilagoe outback tour. It was an excellent day. Our guide Gavin was very knowledgeable and shared a wealth of insights about what we were seeing. Great to visit places we would never go to on our own. It was a very long day, and I was reluctant to make the final stop at Granite Gorge but that was magical with all the tiny rock wallabies so close. Overall the day was outstanding value for money. Highly recommend this company.

    Great tour to do
A great day out. Andrew was fabulous with his knowledge. Lunch was delicious. Included ice cream with a sample of all the fruit flavours. Unfortunately, due to the roadworks, we didn't do the Bloomfield Track part, which was why we chose this particular tour . However, this was out of the company's hands. The only issue we had was that the sound system on the bus was not very clear. Unless the bus was stopped, we could not understand half of what was being said, missing a lot of the information that was being given.

First I most say the Daintree rainforest is a must see, just not with Billy Tea tours. We booked before we left home and were told to confirm the day before. Well we should have know the lack of professionalism it took 6 attempts, each time except the last we reached a recording With Billy Teas hours of operations but they weren’t there when they said they would be. When my wife finally got someone on the phone they were rude as if we were bothering them by confirming as stated to do in there confirmation email. OK but it’s a special place so let’s move forward, that would be great but the bus and guide showed up at 9 a.m. instead of 8:20 a.m. as we were originally told and confirmed in the rude phone call.
Mark our driver and guide seemed to be in a rush all day long failing to provide basic instructions to make up the time from the late start. He drove very quickly swerved to avoid other cars and really told us very little about what we were seeing. He offered a toilet break and then took a few of us to visit the Wallabies while the majority of the tour wasn’t with him. When we meet other tours on the trails there guides seemed to be providing information about the plants, ferns and wildlife along the trails, Mark sometimes gave a quick comment. Mark had the guests carry the equipment for our fruit tasting. Helping is always ok, except when the guide isn’t helping and is having the guests carry everything while he strolls along. The beauty of the National Park was truly a five star experience. The lack of information and professionalism hurt the day.
So make sure not to miss the Daintree experience just with a different tour operator.
Please note in dozens of guided tours I have been on this is the first bad review I have ever wrote

Hi there, I am very disappointed to read your review as this is such a rare type of review that we typically receive. I have just spoken with our reservations team who have advised that your confirmation was noted at 7.15 am on the day of travel. We instruct all of our guests to confirm at least 48 hours prior to travel. This is on all of our Terms and Conditions, Confirmation and Website. On the morning of your tour, our phone lines were temporarily down for a very short period of time. We sincerely apologise if our reservations team were a bit short on the phone, as I would say this would be because of the volume of calls during a peak period in our day. As you booked through a third-party agent, this seems to be where the pick-up timing got a little lost. February is one of our busiest times of the year and on this particular morning, our driver had 10 different pick-up locations, resulting in a few delays due to traffic. We apologise that the wait time for your driver was a little longer than anticipated. I am very sad to read your review of one of our guides. I have passed this on to our operations manager who will follow this up and find out the situation to ensure this does not happen in future. We take our customer service very seriously and our guides take great pride in providing the best possible day for our customers. If you would like to discuss this in any further detail, please feel free to email me directly, steph@ducd.com.au. Kind regards, Steph, Billy Tea Safaris

We had the tour today with Graeme, it was brilliant and he was brilliant. He had so much knowledge and was non stop giving us facts and info, just a shame about not being able to hear very well over the microphone in the bus. Bus was nice and cool and was on time to pick us up. We saw a croc dragging a dead cow across the daintree river, we saw a wild cassowary, and a dingo- so much wildlife spotted. The lunch was the best we have ever had on any tour so far in Australia, in a proper restaurant/cafe as opposed to just a packed lunch, we got so much for our money. The lasagne was unreal. Would 100% recommend this tour & Graeme!

We were met by the guide, a retired man with a cowboy hat, right in the morning in a very unpleasant way. We had been given the time 7.05, Sunday 2 April , for our trip to the Daintree rain forest, from the operator but he said it was not correct, said we were being disrespectful. He continued to gnaw on more things throughout the morning from the microphone in the bus. The bus was an old bumpy, uncomfortable bus who he drowe as fast as he could. I needrd to thrown up after the trip!
The river trip trip was fantastic, and also the bath in the forest was great!
The lunch was not good at all, so sorry to say, this is not higher than 2/5 for us. We Will not rekommenderar it ( especially not with this guide)

A bit too much time spent in the bus and too little to explore. I am aware that a trip from Cairns does require some time in the bus but after that I felt like everything was a bit rushed. The river cruise was my favourite part and we did manage to see two crocs. The food was good and the guide very knowledgeable. I expected more from the walk in the rainforest due to the fact that it was my main objective for the day. The atmosphere was a bit monoton, flat, I would have liked a bit more cheerful.

We took a day trip from Cairns to Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tripulation. We were picked up from our hotel at 7 am and were back at 6.15 pm. Our guide was Finn. This was an excellent way to experience the area without staying there overnight. We got to see two Crocodiles on the Daintree river cruise, we walked through the Rainforest with our guide and saw some small creatures we’ve never seen before. Our guide explained a lot about the forest and the animals and insects, and also other interesting things about how things work around there. We stopped for some beautiful sights and lookouts along the way. This trip is child friendly, given that your kids do not get easily motion sick. You can ask to sit in the front (2 seats there). We absolutely had a wonderful time!!! Can recommend this 110%!

The walking tour and boat ride were very nice. Guides were informative. The swim in the creek was refreshing, but the guide decided to skip the second swimming opportunity on the beach to save time. So, the tour was 2 hours shorter than it was supposed to be. The "barbeque" lunch was average.

This was a really fabulous full day tour. The highlights for me were the Daintree walk and seeing different aspects of the wet rainforest and the river swim. I have mobility issues but the pace of the walk made it easy. The steak for lunch was excellent. My friend and I had a great day. The guide Rohan was very informative with a good balance of commentary and having time to enjoy the views. I highly recommend this tour.

I book through Travellers Oasis hostel, and our guide was mathew.
I was informed by hostal while booking arrival to hostel would be Around 0700pm. but I arrived 0540pm way too early.
Spend most of the time in the bus than exploring.
Proper time was not allocated to each stop, hardly got 10 minutes for swimming. guide seems more strict than entertaining. Not much option for BBQ.
Not as per my expectation!

Hi Hamid, I am disappointed to read your review. It is a full-day tour so we like to keep things on schedule so that we get you back in time. There are quite a few stops on this tour and we always receive fantastic feedback on the itinerary of the day and the activities. Thanks, Steph
