The experience was amazing and the staff were all really awesome!

Fair warning - it was bumpy getting out to the reef and people were a bit sick. I am 27 weeks pregnant so couldn’t take any seasickness tablets but the staff were lovely and really accommodating. If you get seasick, sit at the back of the boat outside from the start of the trip as it was so much better than sitting inside.

My husband did an introduction dive which he asked to do last minute which they accommodated easily and he loved it.

The snorkeling was also amazing. The water was a bit rough and wavy but we still saw a lot of fish and a turtle! My husband saw a white tip shark while on the dive which he said was really great.

The lunch looked really nice - I didn’t have any only because I didn’t want to push my luck and get too sick for the boat ride back but by all accounts it was tasty.

The staff were really friendly and made me feel really comfortable even though I was feeling sick on the way there. The boat wasn’t as bad on the way back and a lot of people weren’t sick compared to on the way out.

Definitely book this trip. It is worth it!!
My husband took some seasickness tablets before we went and he felt fine the whole time so don’t let the reviews of the rough waves put you off but just mentally prepare for a bumpy trip out.

AMAZING cruise. Staff were all helpful and very kind. Ride was pretty choppy on the way out, but staff provided sick bags and complimentary ginger tablets and were overall very helpful with anyone experiencing sea sickness. We only went to one reef, Flynn Reef, but went to three different sites on the reef, and all were completely different, so definitely didn't feel like we missed anything. We are certified divers and did the three dives. Our divemaster Marcos was absolutely incredible, he was very helpful in and out of the water and was funny and kind. He spent time with us out of the water and tried to make sure we saw what we wanted. We saw sharks, stingrays, beautiful fish and coral, and so much more! Lunch was delicious as well. Boat and associated facilities were great and we always felt safe in the water even when choppy. Back deck of boat got a little crowded, but nothing obnoxious, just a little tight at times. Other than that, everything was absolutely incredible and myself and my friends would absolutely go on this trip again.

old couple snorkelling and scuba diving for the 1st time , (67 & 61) , staff were really great , had time and patience for everyone irrespective of ability , and as we are not strong swimmers a guide physically led us out on the 2nd snorkel trip over the reef , so we could enjoy the experience fully . What a beautiful place. AND at the heart of it safety was always their priority . Can't thank and praise them enough.

The journey to the outer reef was choppy and rough. The crew were attentive and caring. Puke bags on hand and always ready to attend to sea sick passengers needs. Their attention definitely made the challenging journey much more bearable. The service crew is top notch.

The crew pay much attention to safety. There were safety briefings for each of the 3 sites, with staff informing snorkellers what to look out for, enriching the experience. My wife enjoyed her snorkelling. Despite having to repeat multiple times, I observed that my dive guide, Sho, made it a point to explain to different language group of divers at all 3 sites. He made it point to be inclusive and looked out for divers he was leading while diving.

Amazing tour! We saw turtles, sharks, stingrays and just about every fish we could think of! Lots of time at each reef and beautiful coral. Felt very safe even though the sea was quite rough. They offered pool noodles and life jackets for those who needed. The staff were FANTASTIC and very knowledgable and clearly love what they do. The lunch was good and they even served tea and cakes in the morning and afternoon on top of this. The only downside (and I feel this could not be helped) was the intro dive that we had. This was due to a woman in my group really struggling and not being able to cope and having to constantly surface. This meant that our time in the water was largely reduced compared to other groups (we had under 15 minutes under the surface) and we had to stay linked up the whole time. My intro dive was free in my package so I wasn't too fussed and I had done a dive before, but I think if I had paid the $80 I would have been a little miffed. However like I say Im not sure how else they could have done it and it didn't ruin my day at all.

Really enjoyed my trip on the Silverswift. The trip out to the Great Barrier Reef was very rocky and lots of people were getting seasick, however, the staff dealt with this really well and they clearly had lots of experience. They were helping people to the back of the boat so that they could feel more comfortable and frequently going round and checking on everyone. Additionally, they provided sea sickness tablets.

We were brought to 3 snorkel spots which were all great and given a briefing at each spot about where the best places to swim were. We saw a turtle on our tour and lots of fish which was also great.

The buffet lunch was delicious and the portions were very generous and there was plenty of food to go round. There was also coffee and cake so we never felt hungry.

Don’t book with silverswift! It was really the badest experience ever. The weather conditions where rough, we decided to go anyways because the women on the counter couldn’t book us in the next two days. The women on the counter also said that only the drive to the spots will be a little bit bumpy and we might get seasick, but she told us as soon as we are on the spots it will be calm for snorkelling. The ride there was horrible everyone was vomiting. As we got to the first spot we got out and it was really wavy, so not calm as promised! Because of the waves I got water in my snorkel all the time but the badest thing was that it was really hard to swim to the reef and it was even harder to stay over it because the waves brought me in an area where the staff said I am not allowed to snorkel, but I wasn’t able to swim back because the waves where just to strong! So I was in the water for around 15 minutes…. Because of the bad conditions the staff told us it’s not possible to move to an other reef because the conditions are even worse there. So for the second snorkel we stayed at the exact same spot!!!! We decided to go out anyways, the problem was that one of the divers passed out under water and got stabilised in the cabin, so the staff told us that we can’t go out snorkelling because we can’t get passed that area in the cabin. For the promised third spot they moved the boat for around 200 m, so we got out on the same reef…. The waves were the same we couldn’t really get out to the reef. We didn’t saw anything, no shark, no turtle just a few small fish. So in the end we booked 3 spots and got only one spot!!!! And couldn’t go three times in the water.
The company is not willing to give us any refund!!!!!! They are really impolite on the phone and not listening to our situation at all! Never book over Silverswift, I would give zero stars if that would be possible!

Boarded the boat and it was absolute chaos with half eaten food everywhere and nowhere for us to sit . So we asked a crew member where we should sit and was told you have to find you own seats .
We tried and asked several people if they good move up to make space but after 5 mins we gave up and got off the boat .
The crew were just interested in the young people .
Be warned

Thank you for your review. It is unfortunate that you felt chaos and inconvenience during your boarding process as our team strives to maintain a clean and organised environment for all guests. Regarding seating arrangements, we understand the frustration of not finding suitable seating however I would like to inform you that our vessel is surveyed to accommodate well above our daily passenger limit providing enough space for our divers and snorkelers to enjoy their day. We value all our guests, regardless of age, and we regret if you felt that our crew was not attentive to your needs. Your feedback is essential, and we appreciate your time to complete a review.

Went on this trip with to much expectations. First, it's for divers not snorkling. They have snorkling ok there agenda to fill up the boat, you won't see much as a snorkeler.

Then we have the staff, most of them have chosen the wrong career. They seemed stressed and easily angered. I went with four friends that would dive. I sat with them on the boat and got the safety instructions for divers, good, easy to understand etc. When we came to the first diving spot I wanted to take photos when they where going in. However the staff ordered me to go inside and listen to the "safety" instructions for the snorkling. I went inside and listened, the instructor explained where the toilets where and I thought that it's not a safety instruction that's instructions about the boat so I went outside again and continued be with my friends when they geared up. Once again I was not askt but ordered to go inside. I told the angry and unpleasant staff member that it's not a safety instruction, she became more angry and told me it's for my safety so I went inside again. This time the instructor said that lunch is at 12.30. I thought this had to be some kind of joke and went up to my seat on the second floor. Another angry staff member came after me and said that I really need to listen to there instructions, I went down again and had to stand next to a woman that was puking in a bag.

So, conclusions and questions.. Why so they not have all the safety instructions at the same time? Why isn't it enough to listen to one safety instruction? And most of all, why have the staff on this job not changed career when it's obvious that they are sick and tired of customers.

ONLY GO WITH THIS TRIP IF YOU AND ALL THAT YOU TRAVEL WITH DIVE. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACES FOR SNORKLING.

Thank you for your review. The safety and well-being of all our guests are paramount to us, and we go to great lengths to ensure comprehensive safety briefings for both divers and snorkelers. During these briefings, our crew takes the time to familiarise passengers with essential details such as the day's itinerary, including the buffet lunch timing and the location of facilities like restrooms. We believe it's crucial for all passengers to be congregated in one area during these briefings to ensure everyone is well-informed about safety protocols and the day's events. We are committed to maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for all our guests, and we appreciate your feedback, which we will address with our team to ensure a positive experience for everyone. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention, and we look forward to the opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable and seamless experience in the future.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this trip. We did the three certified dives. I am recently certified, and he hadn't dove in a while. All three dives were guided, and we liked that. I can see where really experienced divers would not like that though. We did see a lot of fish and coral and a large turtle. The buffet was pretty good. There was tea and coffee throughout the day. The boat wasn't overly crowded so that was nice.
