We had the best day on this tour. The wildlife park our favourite part of the day. We got to see so many animals up close including a koala and also kangaroos (which are so friendly you can pet them). We also got to meet an indigenous man which was so interesting to hear about his life. The rainforest was very beautiful and you could take a lovely refreshing dip in the river here. Lastly we got to see wild crocodiles on a boat ride.

100% would recommend this tour.

Lisa, our guide, was amazing. She was so considerate to all the guests on the tour and was so engaging. She provided lots of information and encouraged us to ask any questions we wanted. Thank you so much Lisa for making our day so special.

We only used Tropic Wings as a transfer service from our resort in Palm Cove to Cairns to go on a snorkelling trip. However we had Tony as our driver and he treated the basic transfer as a tour. He talked the entire way and provided us with information about Cairns and surrounds that we would have never known. He was absolutely lovely. Thanks Tony. Keep loving what you do because it shows.

Had Lisa as our lovely hostess and driver. She had such a wealth of information and we were never bored. Our tour was meant to go up to Cape Tribulation, but Jasper put a stop to that and we visited Mossman Gorge instead. It was absolutely lovely. The whole day was! Wildlife Habitat, Daintree River cruise & Mossman Gorge. Morning tea & lunch were provided and were delicious. 5*'s to Lisa! Thanks for a lovely day.

The tour I did with Tropic Wings was great! Even though it rained all day I enjoyed the tour from beginning to end because it didn’t affect us. The Pamagirri experience was the best for me as I learned quite a bit about some aboriginals from the zone, the lunch was exquisite and the army duck and the wildlife sanctuary were also great, perfect tour to get more knowledge about different subjects.

This is an excellent trip, jam packed and lots of fun. A great way to see lots of things in Cairns if you don’t have much time. Lisa was fantastic, she went above and beyond and extremely knowledgeable. We felt really lucky she was our guide for the day.

My husband and I selected this tour since we always try to go ziplining if possible while on vacation and this tour offered the added benefits of being picked up at our hotel and the additional tour of the Port Douglas Wildlife Habitat. I'll start with the Pros of the tour. The bus was on time and comfortable; the tour guide, Lisa, was pleasant and tried to be as entertaining as possible. Additionally, the Wildlife Habitat was interesting and full of different animals. The attendants at the zipline, Lauren, Jesse, and James(I think), were exceptional! They had plenty of personality and knowledge, made everyone confident in the process, and were a pleasure to spend time with. Now for the Cons. The lunch provided was poor quality. It's understandable that the restaurant used is in the middle of a rainforest; however, it's still a restaurant. The sandwich we received was poor quality and inedible. Additionally when the tour states that lunch is provided, one would expect that beverages would be included; they were not. As for the zipline, it was okay, but the views were limited and although the tour stated that no specific level of fitness was required, I would suggest that anyone who goes should be in relatively good shape as you have to climb a steep hill to reach the launch area and then propel other travelers to the first platform by getting inside of an adult sized hamster wheel and walking. Last of all, when it states there is a River Cruise, it is a little bit of an embellishment. You board an oversized fishing boat and go along the river looking for crocodiles, which you may or may not see. All in all, the people were the best part of this tour. I cannot recommend it for any other reason.

Went up the Skyrail and back down the Scenic railway, only 2 return journeys a day 2pm and 3.30, whereas Skyrail is continuous so probably best other way round. Didn’t book but was ok, although fairly busy.
Skyrail showed the vastness of the rainforest but enjoyed the history and views on the railway more.
Lots of craft shops and cafes in Kuranda also nice walks.
Not as good value as some other activities but an enjoyable day.

My kids saw this and really wanted to go. It's a cute thing to do if you have some extra time in Cairns but I wouldn't plan a whole day around it. My 16 and 13 year olds had a lot of fun on the ropes courses and high jump.My 11 year old enjoyed seeing some of the animals. Not sure it's worth how much we paid but, again, if you have a little extra time maybe stop in

This tour contains the best of everything. The Skyrail was excellent and provided a beautiful view from above as well as the rainforest. The butterfly sanctuary tour was great and the duck tank tour was awesome. The tour included free lunch, which was also great, and the opportunity of a photo with a koala. The tour concluded with the scenic railway view of Kuranda and the rainforest, with a beautiful view of waterfalls. A must take tour.

Let's start with saying this is a long day and many activities packed into it. If you are looking to make the most of your day, this is your way to go. If you want it at a slower paces, have a look at the other tours they provide.
The day starts with an early morning pickup. The time depends where you are on the list, but it can be pretty early if you are one of the first. There won't be a guide with you all the time. So you have to listen and know where you have to be at what time. The driver of the buss will make that pretty clear to you. You will get dropped at the Freshwater train station for the train ride to Kuranda. Along the way you will stop for a view of the Barron falls. Along the way you have some great views and you are also able to view the train itself while it winds its way to Kuranda. When you arrive at Kuranda, it is a short walk to the butterfly sanctuary. You do have a little time to have a quick look at some shops along the way, but don't lose track of time. The butterfly sanctuary allows you to have a look at some nice butterflies and offers the opportunity for some nice pictures. Next the buss will take you to the lunch location for a warm buffet lunch. Water is included, other drinks are not and need to be purchased. After lunch you will embark in a WWII 'duck' to drive around the rainforest and enter the water as well. It is just a short trip, but the explanations of the ranger are excellent. Also included is a visit to the small theater for the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience. This includes music and dancing and gives some insight in the lives of the local people. This is followed by explanations of didgeridoo playing, spear throwing and boomerang throwing. At the last one you can have a go yourself, although it is limited to one try. The last part before returning to Cairns is a visit to the small zoo, with the typical Australian animals. Nice that it is included but it doesn't add too much. Along the way it is possible to have a picture taken with a koala (additional payment required). The bus will then take you back to the skyrail. Try to make sure you go as one of the first. Because of a ticket issue, we went last which prevented us from having time to walk around during one of the stops. We did manage to go out and see the Barron Falls again, but a ranger was making sure that we made it back on time to continue downwards towards Cairns where the bus took us back to the hotel.
In all it was an action packed day. Would I do it again? Probably not as I would have liked to spend a little more time in Kuranda and visit the shops there. However it is a very good way to get a good feel about the area and the people that live here.
