Overview
More
'Wait-a-While Rainforest Tours' specialises in small group day and night rainforest wildlife tours. It is magical to be involved in seeing a wild animal unrestricted in its natural environment in the rainforest. We often see platypus, birds, possums, tree kangaroos, insects, frogs, owls, reptiles, various invertebrates and other animals on our tours. As a lot of Australian rainforest animals are nocturnal, a night element and spotlighting is included with a knowledgeable, enthusiastic guide.

This was a fabulous tour of the Atherton Tablelands. Our guide, a professional zoologist, knew everything there was to know (and was nice man too!). The tour was thrilling and fascinating by turns. The red possum posing in a tree was a highlight. Highly recommended.

OK, you start knowing that animals may be had to find and Nature is not always kind. And you get all these animals. What a treat! I won't list them all (you should have your own surprise), but wild platypus, wallabies (in the suburbs), plenty...More

About 8 hours of tour through forests, lakes, millennial trees, tablelands and endemic animals by day and night!!! The night walk is exciting and Paul is a very good and experienced guide. Every safari is a bet and nobody can guarantee to see wild animals,...More

I had already visited the Daintree Forest on the trip, so this was a nice alternative experience of the forests of Queensland. Our guide, for the most part, was friendly, knowledgeable and great at spotting wildlife. I did feel that he might be having an...More

It is around 15-20 mins from Airport to Hilton. We pick up there between 1:30 and 1:45. So as long as your plane is on time you will be ok. It is not really possible to catch up to us in a taxi.
