About
We brew fresh, flavoursome beer in our beautifully restored art-deco West End home. Our menu, like our local community, is a coming together of eclectic influences: good food, wine, cocktails and spirits all unified by beautiful beer. In the spirit of togetherness we serve our own beers, brewed fresh on site, next to a range of guest beers and ciders on tap, and in bottles and cans. Our wine list is diverse and a little quirky, but with enough old favourites to make you feel at home. We also have a soft spot for quality spirits of all varieties so there’s something for almost every taste on our back bar. Ask our friendly bar tender about their fave tipple. Our menu was created to complement the host of beautiful fermented libations we offer, and it changes with the season and the chef’s whim. But one thing remains constant; the quality. No pub grub here…just fresh, seasonal and delicious gourmet fare, paired with your choice of beverage.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We made a booking for two couples and two babies for Father’s Day. Upon arrival we were seated near the smoking area. We then relocated table which was fine but upon going to the bar to order our lunch were advised the kitchen was closed. I’m unsure why the staff wouldn’t advise this at arrival, especially considering we’d made a booking which indicated we were booking for lunch. We left and went to another more accommodating brewery a few shops down and the service was great. The terrible service is bringing this place down. They lost customers for lunch and drinks due to lack of communication...

A bar I have been to a few times over the years, but never again. I was there with a group of friends for a few hours and we were spending money. My round came around again and I went to the bar and there was no one else waiting to be served. One of the bar staff was working on a computer, the other working on lemon rinds. I waited a few minutes and then said excuse myself and asked if the bar was still serving drinks. The guy doing the rinds looked up and said “as far as I know it still is”, the other guy didn’t look up at all. I waited a few more minutes but it was obvious I was not going to be served so we all left and went to the bar down the road for the rest of the night. I cannot think of anything I could possibly have done to offend.

Our journey through West End led us here to sample more of their microbrewery beers, on tap. As a non-beer drinker I chose the mulled wine while others had beer or worked their way through the varieties of dark rum available. The staff were very friendly and professional in their service.

The staff were extremely welcoming here we sat with a couple of drinks people watching in west end which could be an experience in itself.
Had so pork puffs and barramundi fingers they were both to die for.
Returned after a visit elsewhere and had some more drinks and a cocktail and watched the heavy rain falling was a great way to spend a few hours.

Table service was offered due to the number of people eating upstairs which was great. Friendly staff that was helpful and ensured we were told of the special deals. Able to chat over the music which was great. Drinks range was very good with 23 yr old rums and nice offer of gins.

I loved the beer but found the chicken a bit rubbery. However,
everything else was nice. I especially liked the croquettes.
It was very dark upstairs and we asked for candles. We still had to use the torch of our phones to read the menu...

We booked online, turned up and were informed that there were no tables available. Manager was apologetic and explained issues with booking system. Fair enough, this can happen. We decided to have a quick beer there and then find somewhere else to eat. Ordered a round (4), and were informed they were complimentary, and received an additional apology, and given seats at the bar.
Half way through our beer and were informed a cancellation had occurred and a table was now available.
So apart from brilliant management, the food we ordered was fresh and different, Brazilian Cheese Bead, Barramundi fish fingers, and some delicious pizza.
The beers were exceptional, the IPA500 was to die for, as was the Pale ale.
An evening to remember for many reasons, but most simply for good professional service, and lovely beer and food, served in a great working brewery.
Will be back. Can’t fault.

We were really looking forward to going to catchment. Unfortunately We were a bit disappointed by the food. We ordered two share platters. One ribs the other vegan. The ribs platters meat was a bit dry. The vegan platter was bland and tasteless. The falafel was doughy. Really wanted to enjoy this place but sorry was average. I am glad we paid half price with Dimmi as i would not have wanted to pay full price for what we got. Service was friendly and excellent.

Not sure what happened to this place, it used to be good. But now I would not even come close to recommending it! Especially it for their cheese or meat platter. The platters were presented poorly, there was almost no cheese on the platter and the meats tasted off, legitimately the most disappointing thing I've ever received and it was pricey at almost $50.

Had a delicious selection of tapas dishes to share and their inhouse brewed beers were delicious too.
