A brilliant community park. We were there on a sunny Saturday and there were people everywhere - children playing sport, families having picnics and an excellent food market near the Powerhouse. Lots of happy smiling people. Brilliant! In particular check out the market if you're in Brisbane on a Saturday.

If you have kids, this definitely the park to visit. Leave the car at home and jump on a CityCat or on a bus. Parking around the park and in the park fills up quickly, so not a good option. The playground is one the best in Brisbane. It also has a large rose collection so there is a bit of interest for everyone.

Usually a busy park with many families coming to hang out and have picnics. Fresh air out in the open area far from roads is a noticeable difference of this park to others. Not many playgrounds, okay for hanging out and hosting a picnic.

Visited on Tuesday 20th September. I hadn't been there for a few years so decided to check out the park. It was late arvo and still busy. It was good seeing the spring flowers on display. Well worth going to check out.

Great walk, great big trees and excellent views of the river. It has markets on weekends and is pet friendly. Beautiful flowers and trees and lush green grass. Nice little snack van for coffee etc.

Huge wooden playground that is shaded. The overall park which people might know from Bluey shadowlands is so pretty and serene. Just walking by the water is great too. Worth a stop of via the city cat for fun with a young pre-schooler

New Farm Park is a much sought after location for family groups to meet for a picnic lunch amongst the beautiful atmosphere of the Park. Beautiful trees abound and perfect lawns to recline on and to meet up with friends is remembered long after a visit. It's a must-visit location for an enjoyable day.

Just up from the City Cat terminal is this beautiful open green space. A lovely spot, especially on a sunny day. There is things for all ages to do from sporting ovals, walking tracks and a nice children’s playground.

A brief visit around New Farm Park arriving by ferry on Sunday 12/07/20.
Busy area with many families inside the park & a pleasant walk along the waterfront.
Coffee shop close by when exiting from the ferry.
Returned to city by bus.

The New farm Park is a lovely park in the centre of Brisbane, situated on the river it is easy to visit by ferry, car or walking path.
We really enjoyed strolling around the Saturday morning food market sampling the varied food outlets as we went.
If you drive parking can be difficult as lots of families were enjoying the parklands.

I have not had to do this but I believe one can. They have designated areas which can be booked. Best to go on Brisbane City's Website and look up New Farm Park for further information brisbane.qld.gov.au and look up bookings at New Farm Park.

Yes an evening picnic would be lovely and there are quite a few BBQ areas but I am not sure what time the gates close so make sure u don't get your car parked in
