This memorial park is largely untouched. The special feature is the memorial arbour to commemorate early members of the community in 1925. Those trees are now nearly 100 years old. There is play equipment and a wooden fort for children and bbq facilities, seats and tables for families. There is a pontoon if you want to launch your canoe (a bit of a walk to get it across the park first though). There are two man made ponds with eels. What I enjoy most here is the silence in the early mornings when you meet the runners and dog walkers. I also love it when the large trees lose their leaves and you can scrunch your way through them. The park is large, and often used but early or late it is very peaceful.

Unexpected find tucked away in amongst suburbia. Absolutely stunning gardens with bbq facilities, kids playground, shelters, walking tracks, basic amenities and a stunning view of the Brisbane river. Great for a nice walk, picnic with friends or even a garden party. Will be back often!

Found a great park next to Brisbane river at Sherwood. Lots of families cooking barbeques, playing, having a ball. Dog friendly, on a lead, lots of couples walking their dogs around a couple of lakes. Access to the river via a pontoon and walkway. Electric and wood barbeques very clean. Parking limited but it was easy enough to park in a side street and walk the short distance back. Obviously alot of mature trees, great for shade and dogs.

A great and large natural space with everything, including river access. Big playgrounds, ponds, open grass areas, forested areas, riding paths... great for a weekend trip with the family.

Join Sherwood Forest Park runners at 0700 for 2, 4, or 6 km run, every Saturday morning. All ages welcome, family orientated as well as competitive. Free but should give a gold coin donation.

This is a beautiful park. It has plenty of room to go for a walk down to the river, a playground for the kids, ponds with lots of birdlife, and grass areas to run around. It also has lots of shady trees and toilets. A lovely place for a picnic or a short walk.

This is a very nice park. Walk by the river and explore the variety of trees. Some are labelled. More could be.

This park has great trees, barbQ 's, covered picnic areas, play equipment for children. A wharf for boats on the Brisbane river frontage for boats. A small lake/ water feature. On Saturdays at 0700 there is a free fun run, 2, 4, 6 km. From young to old take part.
