Brisbane has 3 islands off shore so no sand and surf beaches only mangrove tidal water front - not a beach - so don't be fooled unless you like swamps

Not REALLY a beach...more of a waterfront location for a picnic etc. Great to give the dogs a run but not really a swimming spot as it is very muddy with difficult water access.

Probably the most disgusting place I have been to. It is not a beach it is a mangrove swamp that stinks when the tide is out. Much better places to go.

I see many reviews here from dog owners who allowed their dogs to run around the beach off-leash. This beach is an important resting area for migratory birds. Are dog owners this selfish and careless that they allow their dogs to harass the migrating birds?...More

Nudgee beach is not far off of the busy Bruce Highway. It is worth the slight detour in order to enjoy the relative peace and quiet. The tide was out when we visited so there was loads of sand for the free running dogs to...More

Nudgee Beach is a tidal flat with a large expanse of sand exposed at low tide. It is also a very important habitat for migratory shore birds, many of which are in steep decline. It is a great place to walk dogs; however THEY MUST...More

I suppose you could...but i personally wouldnt. Its more like mangroves and muddy. If it hasnt rained the water will be clear and there is some sand on parts. So yes you could, but its not like sunny or gold coast.
