Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Overall a nice time. But sloooow and anticlimactic. The experience is packed with alot of history told by the guide and very little wow factor. If you'll also be in Sydney, I recommend waiting to climb that bridge. And sooooo many pictures were taken of each group, which very few people actually purchased. We stood around more than we ventured.

We crossed this on our mammoth Brisbane centre walk, the views are great as is the structure. Looking back towards the city gives super perspective

Everyone talks about the views from the Story Bridge, and rightly so as they are wonderful. But what we like dmost was looking AT the bridge, not looking FROM it. What I mean is, grab a seat at one of the Howard Smith Wharf bars and watch the sun go down behind the glass of the skyscrapers and the colours of the Story Bridge as it lights up in the twlight. It is just magnificent.

We like exploring new areas by walking so we walked across. We got off the ferry at Holman st and it was a bit of a walk to get onto the bridge. Easier from the other side. It’s a very busy bridge- traffic noise and lots of bikes, scooters, walkers. At night the lights are pretty and best viewed by ferry or sitting at Howard smith wharves with a glass of wine.

It makes for a decent view in the evening. I wouldn't call it an attraction though, it wouldn't be worth walking all the way there if you weren't in the area.

My two sons and I completed the Story Bridge Adventure Climb. We were able to enjoy the fantastic urban setting of the beautiful winding Brisbane River.

Well, you can't really miss this bridge, which is an iconic feature and landmark of Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland. I stay in a hotel close by and walked down to the nice walkways by the river to get some good views of the total span of this bridge. Apparently, it is the longest cantilever bridge in Australia.

If I'd had more time in the city, I would have liked to walk across it, either conventionally at road level or make the climb (at a cost).

Opened in 1940 this is a must see/visit when in Brisbane. It is quite a long way from one end to the other but is is on a well maintained walkway and you can walk on either side. For those daring enough you can do the adventure climb, but that cost something over $120

I walked across on the East side and back on the West. Interesting engineering and nice views over the river and city. But the traffic noise was horrendous and the E-scooter riders seem to treat it like a raceway!
Why did I walk it...because it's there, of course.......but it's still just a bridge!
