I'm not going to write a review as such. Everyone that goes here will have their own reason for doing so. Here are some of my photos.

If you want to go somewhere to find out the history of the 1st and 2nd world wars and other conflicts then this is the place in Brisbane. We didn't get a chance to visit the Anzac Square memorial museum.

We did visit the grounds and take in all of the monuments (see the pics), very thoughtfully done and lovely gardens.

Wonderful open space with many interesting displays and stories.

Highlight is the cenotaph and eternal flame.

Doesn't glorify war but reminds us of wars past and hopefully none in the future.

As an Australian this is a very touching place. Especially when you’re around the eternal flame. If you can walk around the exhibits while listening to Redgum’s “I was only 19” an extra emotional song about veterans of Vietnam who returned wounded and with ptsd. That discusses the events that occurred to these men, as well as their lives after it.

Walking distance from Queen Street Mall. Worthwhile to visit. Free admission. Quiet place to pay respect. There’s a small museum with interactive videos.

If you want an understanding of Australia’s military past, this is the place to go. It's another entrance into Central Station and it's so tastefully done. If you are running late for your train... I suggest missing it and spending some time here. :)

I unfortunately was here on a very cold day in early July... I had been walking over the city all day and I was really getting tired, as I came through to Central Station I walked a different way and noticed this. It's utterly amazing... gorgeous statues, garden areas, grassed areas, water features, information rooms, helpful staff... hidden galleries.

Here is where the Shrine of Remembrance and Eternal Flame burns...The Square provides permanent recognition for those who have served our nation. This offers a place to reflect on their sacrifice and bravery... it's a place to remember those who fought for our country.

I only spent about thirty minutes here, but if I return to Brisbane in the future... it's on my list to spend more time here.

As I had been reading the book "Deception Bay" about 1940s Brisbane this landmark featured describing it as a congregating point for soldiers who also barbequed sausages on the flame; such was the desperation in those times. Its a good book, gotta say!

We had a nice wander around here as we also did an Adventure cache! This meant we could appreciate the history. YMMV

Difficult to rate under 5 any ANZAC memorial space yet this measures true.
Spectacular space, stone architecture and stirring information & plaques.
Near heart of city, reminding daily commuters the sacrifice past for present freedom.
