Great for afternoon picnics , fishing but you need a licence, and has some very basic camp sites. The region has some nice walks and secenic areas and quaint little town ships . Not much of a place if flooded though...

It's a great family and friend activity place. Sadly you don't can bring your pets with you. Great place to go for the day swimming are other water activities

Nets are permitted, however THE fun of fishing is the act. I strongly recommend you use a line, relax and enjoy all Wivenhoe has to offer in terms of fun fishing.

No - cast netting etc. is banned in fresh water dams in Queensland. Refer to the somerset fishing website for further details on size & catch limits etc. You can have four pots / cannister traps etc. per person though.
