Lovely Gothic style church on the corner of Ann & Albert Streets across from King George Square. Dating to 1888, the building is predominately red brick, plus, following research, painted limestone around the windows, doors, buttresses, etc. The Spire rises above the entry on Albert Street. The entire exterior of the building is an architectural masterpiece and testament to the skills of the workforce.
Although advertised as open between 10am - 2pm, I found that the door was closed when we visited on the Wednesday. Definitely worth visiting, especially when the interior is accessible as I can only imagine what the stained glass could be like with sunlight streaming through.

Just across from City Hall and down from the train station it is a well maintained Gothic style church. Now dwarfed by the skyscrapers behind it, it does manage to holds its position with grace even with all that surrounds it.
If you want to take a photo you will need to do it from the opposite side of the street (even with a super wide angle lens). If you are lucky, there will be a few seconds where the traffic clears and you can get a great photo.

Given the proximity to the city centre it would be a crime to pass this by. There is some stunning architecture, organs, and artwork in this lovely heritage building

Lovely older church with beautiful interior. Well-maintained and beautiful for weddings and other celebratory events. This is one of the first stops if viewing the many inner-city churches.

This is a beautiful old church right close to to the King George bus station. If you're lucky you might find some ladies inside who can give you a run down on its history.

Only viewed the outside but it is a beautiful building. We learned the interesting history of WWII from our Brisbane Greeter Tour. Near the City Hall & Clock Tower

I have passed this church too many times, and then a few weeks ago, I thought Im going in. What a surprise, and a lovely quiet refuge for a half an hours walk around the inside. Go on take a look
