We visited the Museum to go look at the Hadron Collider exhibits. This was very informative if a little on the verbal technical side......but they had lots of explanations with drawings, computer programs, videos etc etc to help explain in different ways the "Big Bang Theory" and what they have discovered. It really was very interesting. After this we explored... More

5 hours of Dinosaurs and then Science activities resulting in tired but satisfied boy & grandparents. Although entry is a little pricey (especially for a family with multiple school aged children) we did feel we got value for money. We attended both the space and sound shows & both presenters were entertaining, related very well to the children and were... More

Children of all ages will enjoy this. Spent a morning here just walking around looking, touching and mind blown on some of the items.

A wide range of hands on activities classified into areas of scientific concepts. Easy to move around and excellent unobtrusive volunteers who are passionate about science are willing to share and explain the principle of activities. Centrally based across from Southbank Parklands, the Science Centre is not just pfor children.

While the Queensland museum is excellent and targeted at adults and kids, with placards with adult and child level information on each of the exhibitions on animals, insects, parasites and dinosaurs.. The sciencentre is targeted at families with young children. There centre is full of interactive activities in which kids would enjoy(sit still) long enough to teach them something. I... More

Went just after New Years so was really busy. However we've been to a similar attraction in Bristol which was in much better condition and had staff posted around to help you out. Nothing like that here though.

Visited with husband and 2 kids (ages 7yrs and 8yrs). Parking easy (albieit expensive at $30 per day). Lovely walk along Southbank to get to museum. Entry $44.50 for family of 4 which we felt was good value for the 3 hours we spent there. (Could have stayed longer if we wanted to go through the entire museum and not... More

The science centre can be upgraded with new engaging activities. It is rather expensive for a family entry with small range of activities to engage children for only 1 hour or less.
