Newstead House Isa historic property in Brisbane. A grand residence situated in an elevated position overlooking the Brisbane River and surrounded by parkland. Well maintained colonial era building furnished to reply the time it was last occupied. Guided tours are available.

This is a beautiful house, set up as a family would have used it, and wonderful to see that it's so well cared for. The furniture was perfect, and the rooms were delightful to wander around in.

Brisbane has so many modern, new buildings it’s nice to visit a piece of early colonial history. The guided tour is informative and worth doing. We visited on a Sunday when there was a jazz band playing on the lawns and a few food trucks....More

Set in lovely gardens with awesome views. Parking about. Good spot for a picnic. Dogs welcome in the park area. Take the River Cat to Teneriffe or City Glyder to Newstead. Easy walk. Some nice shops, walks etc about.
