Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hubby & I came here last Saturday for a quick drink & a look to see if they had live music.
They had a great 2 man band and they were really good.

Most of the food places in the Queen Street Mall are a real rip off. Often no prices displayed and a real trap for both visitors and locals alike. However, close by the Information Centre down in the Wintergarden Centre basement is a very nice Irish Pub. There are lunch time specials every day for $14.95, a good variety of Irish beer on tap and also the excellent Magners Cider draught for $9.50 a pint. The Guinness pie is a treat and very tasty. Plenty of large tv screens for sport devotees. Make sure you have a look at Mick O'Malleys coffin (with viewing window) you can even sit at it, tho it might put you off your food. It is to the left of the service area.

Authentic feel and a great escape from the heat above. Food is pretty good for a pub, especially the beef Guinness pie. Staff were friendly and food was served quickly.

A decent night out spoiled by rude bar staff ! We were a party of eight adults from the UK and didn't travel all this way to be firstly insulted then ignored by eejits behind the bar

I went here with some coworkers and we each ordered something different during lunch time.
The meals came out fast, but that's where it ended.
The salmon AND chicken weren't cooked. I could understand the salmon, but the chicken was literally raw on the inside, and I didn't really notice until I took a second look.
They exchanged it for a steak and that was okay, but I think they were focused on just getting the dishes out rather than taking the time to see if things were cooked properly.
I would go here again because the atmosphere is good and the dishes were good, but I'll be making sure to double check that everything is cooked right.

1st time at O’Malleys have to say was worth the visit, Trio at 5pm on Saturday 2nd was very good, and for the centre of Brisbane the prices are not too expensive - and we had a win on the horses and Pokies

It’s terrific when you wander into an underground style Pub and encounter terrific service, wonderful meals and a duty manager that goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable. That’s what I encountered, and thoroughly enjoyed my time at this CBD Irish Pub. Wonderful place.

Popped in before dinner just for a couple of pints of Guinness. It's probably as Irish as you might get in Australia. Band was playing and for the short time we were there they were very good entertainment. A pint of Guinness is $9 and tasted pretty good. Would go back there, hopefully next time we will have more time.
