Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This museum is fantastic. Well maintained gardens, lots of interesting information on how Brisbane was serviced by these amazing trams. They've really captured the tram era which ended in 1969. I went along to the 50th anniversary of the tramway closure. It was well organised. Close to ferny Grove train station. Five minute walk from the train. I suggest catching trains from the city and commuting if you're not familiar with the area. The tram rides are fun. You go through different models in rotation so it's always interesting plus there is information given by volunteers during the ride. Great for kids too.

Anyone who grew up in Brisbane during the era of trams will love this place. It will bring back memories of bygone days. The guides are very knowledgeable about the trams. You get to travel on six different trams dating from the earliest, built in 1900, to the last ones to run in the 60's. It's only open Sunday afternoons, but is a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.

This museum is dedicated to extensive tram system that existed in Brisbane until the early 1960's. There is a reasonable number of working trams running on a quarter mile of track and a larger number of vehicles undergoing work. It is run by very helpful and friendly volunteers.
There are many exhibits, photographs, news cuttings and films about the history of the tramway system and its unfortunate demise.
It is only open on a Sunday and really deserves more support from the local authorities.
A great day out for everyone.

What an excellent piece of Brisbane history, It is well worth a visit, the volunteers do an awesome job and are full of great fun and interesting facts,. We got to side on 6 or 7 different trams and learn about their history and that of the tram system in Brisbane. great for all ages. You need at least 1 to 2 hours, Very easy to find and priced very well.

My kids had a fantastic time at the Tram museum. We got to ride in multiple different types of trams and explore ones currently under restoration. The volunteers were extremely knowledgable and happy to have a chat. My only issue is that it's only open on Sunday afternoon as we would like to go more but this time is hard for the little ones. I would recommend the museum for young children and lovers of Trams.

This was a very interesting tour although I have been there before on a couple of occasions. Both guides were very knowledgable despite never working on the former tramway. The very old trams are really stepping back in history and the newer FM and FM Phoenix especially the latter quite comfortable and powerful. My only criticism is the small grounds and therefore limited track. I believe the state government and city council should assist with extending the track for several kilometres. Perhaps the older types would be considered dangerous to leave the grounds so this could be limited to the FM's.

A trip back to fifty (and even 100) years back - from old photographs. through tickets, uniforms, timetables, to signal boxes and three real trams to ride on. Very much a work in progress, and the exhibits really for the enthusiast (the rides will appeal to the whole family!) And there is a trolley bus too, with a reminder of what modern trolley-buses are like. A pity Brisbane has opted for busways rather than tramlines for its suburban needs

Bit out of the way but a large display of working machinery would be attractive for history buffs. I liked the tram ride around the grounds. However I do not think it would too popular with the females although children would like the tram rides..

We enjoyed our visit and the staff were really helpful. While the track is short - and a loop would be better - it was a good ride and we traveled on 3 different trams.
Families and all ages would enjoy this!

Can elderly access the attraction easily if they have walking difficult is
Written 17 April 2018
It would depend on the degree of difficulty. There are a couple of steps up into each tram, and walking from parking area to the office is on grass, so not great for wheelchairs or walkers. However, the day I went there was a lady with a walker, and she managed to do everything with a bit of assistance from her family and the staff.
