- Martin WMildura, Australia580 contributionsRed Hot Chilli’s and Red Hot Queues and pricesBeen to a fair few concerts and this one was hard work. Security were, sometimes, over zealous and I had my bag checked several times. I know concerts are notorious for the queues, but this was particularly bad with many people not making it in before start of main event. You’re told you can take sealed plastic water bottles in (it’s on their website!) but you can’t. They decant the water into cups that that have to last for about 4 hrs. Not allowed to take your water in, but it seems that cannabis is totally acceptable. Don’t mind if people smoke it, but I’m done with having cannabis smoke in my face all night. Very disappointed in how the whole show was managed (individual staff very helpful) and would not come back for another concert.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 January 2023

Great atmosphere, comfortable seating, unobstructed views, god catering and toilet facilities and plenty of room to move around pre and post match. What is loved is the way the stadium is hidden away behind the high-rise in a sort of bowl, this catches the atmosphere brilliantly and makes for a great matchday experience.Visited August 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 27 September 2023
- Ben WBrisbane Region, Australia35 contributionsPaul McCartney Concert November 1st 2023We sat on the sides and thus we could not see all the visuals that were showing on the front screen which you expect. The large screens either side of the stage gave us plenty of viewing of the performers including McCartney. However, the PA (microphone) was shocking. We had a lot of trouble hearing McCartney's voice when he spoke to the audience and often when we sang in the louder songs. Yes you could say well he is 81 but he is the thing. We ran into the same problem with Ed Sheeran ( he's not 81) and U2. So i am starting to think Suncorp is NOT the place to go to for an outdoor concert.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 November 2023
- WorldTravla7Cairns, Australia6,036 contributionsNRL season 2023It had been years since I had been to Suncorp Stadium (I also worked here for Spotless catering in the 2000’s) & came twice for Broncos games in 2023. First time we were in the members section (as my cousin’s guest) right behind the uprights & the second was with my whole family up in the stands (3 generations) to let the kids enjoy their first live game of footy. It’s a huge stadium (52,500 capacity) with lots of atmosphere on game nights/days. Unfortunately the Broncos lost both games - the first to Penrith (which happened again at the Grand Final!) and then to Gold Coast Titans! Lucky for us I work in Milton & we could park at my work and walk 15 minutes to the stadium. Otherwise parking is a nightmare. I had fun in 2023 & plan be back in 2024!Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 11 November 2023

Women’s World Cup beware!
An experience everyone should enjoy but unfortunately the Security have an agenda.
My family attended tonight at Suncorp but every time you stopped for a conversation, bought drinks, food or even to go to the toilet Security pushed you on. ‘Move On’ we’re constantly told as it’s ‘FIFA rules’ .
Don’t bring a family to this event, shame.

Saw Ed Sheeran Concert here. Very well set up. Lots of bathrooms, restaurants, bars, entrants and exits. Fits up to 60,000 people. Very busy.

We had decent seats to a night concert. 10/10 would never attend a concert at Suncorp stadium again during summer. Zero airflow. Warm bodies in cramped close seats making it worse. I couldn’t concentrate on the show, the heat sickness was so bad. The aisles are so small that everyone in the row has to stand up to let you out, so getting a cool drink makes people angry and is an inconvenience to everyone. Hundreds of dollars for a concert seat and the venue design completely sucks. There are much better venues out there that I will stick to.

Suncorp Stadium, or Lang Park as it was formerly known, is the home of rugby league in Queensland. Out the front is a statue of the king, Wally Lewis, holding the State of Origin Shield. This is one of the best sporting arenas in Australia and is purpose built in a rectangle. The seating has unobstructed views from any position.

One of the best stadiums in the world.
Food and Bev also the most expensive in the world, which can detract from the overall experience.

A big couple of weeks with English beating the Wallabies and the Maroons surprising NSW with a passionate win. Lang park does not miss a beat. I have only visited for big games always full or close, always great atmosphere and always happy I went. Not the biggest or flashest, maybe the best!

Travelling to State Of Origin game 2 Match on 21st June. We will be travelling from Surfers Paradise. Are there trains that run after the match back to surfers paradise? I can plan my journey to the stadium via travel link for the way there however the way back it says there are no options. If the public transport is not open; what do people suggest?
Thanks in advance.

Bus to Landsborough Station and then train to Brisbane.
See web for details.
When you buy your train ticket ask whether you can get out at Roma Street, Milton or only Central Station. The walk from Central takes about 25 min, from Roma St about 15 min and from Milton about 4 minutes.

The Caxton Street Hotel if you want the sporty atmosphere - alternatively Lefty's Old Time Music Hall (also located on Caxton Street) is unreal! Like nothing else in Brisbane. Best whisky bar and live music.

Hi there - we are travelling to Suncorp from Toowoomba for Foo Fighters on 24 Feb.
I would appreciate anyones advice on where to find SECURE parking & best form of travel to the stadium from the parking facility.
Many Thanks!

The nearest Secure Parking Station is in Little Cribb St, Milton which is about a five minute walk to the Stadium. but I know it is well patronised on Stadium event days so my advice would be to get in there early.
