Attended the double header on Saturday evening. First time I had been to Suncorp for a few years. A great venue for the NRL but a few negative observations.
1. Why was the crowd seated in only a limited number of sections. Only 9000 attended, i would have thought it much safer to open up more sections and spread the crowd out a bit ensuring that it was far more covid safe. I understand that it would cost slightly more, but worth it in the current circumstances.
2. Buses to and from the ground were packed, with all seats and standing room occupied. Hardly covid safe, particularly when many people have their masks lowered so that it didn't cover nose and/or mouth.
3. Absolutely ridiculous drink and food prices. $9 for a middy of XXXX.
These are all issues that could be easily fixed to make the experience more enjoyable.

Been to a fair few concerts and this one was hard work. Security were, sometimes, over zealous and I had my bag checked several times. I know concerts are notorious for the queues, but this was particularly bad with many people not making it in before start of main event. You’re told you can take sealed plastic water bottles in (it’s on their website!) but you can’t. They decant the water into cups that that have to last for about 4 hrs.
Not allowed to take your water in, but it seems that cannabis is totally acceptable. Don’t mind if people smoke it, but I’m done with having cannabis smoke in my face all night.
Very disappointed in how the whole show was managed (individual staff very helpful) and would not come back for another concert.

We had decent seats to a night concert. 10/10 would never attend a concert at Suncorp stadium again during summer. Zero airflow. Warm bodies in cramped close seats making it worse. I couldn’t concentrate on the show, the heat sickness was so bad. The aisles are so small that everyone in the row has to stand up to let you out, so getting a cool drink makes people angry and is an inconvenience to everyone. Hundreds of dollars for a concert seat and the venue design completely sucks. There are much better venues out there that I will stick to.

Attended the NRL Magic Round 2021. Views from seating awesome, unfortunately I was in a camboot at the time. I found that having to get up & down all the time out of my seat a bit painful to let others out to buy consumables or go to the bathroom really inconvenient especially when trying to watch the games.
The price of food & drinks is totally outrageous, 2 x 600mls fountain water, cant the brand sausage roll & a small hot chips all came to $22. Sausage roll was so hard it could not be bitten into. hot chips were luke warm & barely cooked.
Why r we paying full price for a schooner when the cup would be lucky to be a middy & cost $11.
Spirits.... bourbon & coke. full of ice & be lucky to get 125mls of drink $10.50. come on. I can get a can of Jimmy for $9 @ the local pub.

We sat on the sides and thus we could not see all the visuals that were showing on the front screen which you expect. The large screens either side of the stage gave us plenty of viewing of the performers including McCartney. However, the PA (microphone) was shocking. We had a lot of trouble hearing McCartney's voice when he spoke to the audience and often when we sang in the louder songs. Yes you could say well he is 81 but he is the thing. We ran into the same problem with Ed Sheeran ( he's not 81) and U2. So i am starting to think Suncorp is NOT the place to go to for an outdoor concert.

Women’s World Cup beware!
An experience everyone should enjoy but unfortunately the Security have an agenda.
My family attended tonight at Suncorp but every time you stopped for a conversation, bought drinks, food or even to go to the toilet Security pushed you on. ‘Move On’ we’re constantly told as it’s ‘FIFA rules’ .
Don’t bring a family to this event, shame.

Great stadium with awesome atmosphere, but in the past couple of years the security and staff have become a nightmare. Over zealous power mad security personnel looking to stop any form of fun. Clearly too many staff with short man syndrome looking to use their badge to enact their agenda against the world. Shame as the staff and security are ruining a great sporting venue

eToro..Wallabies v Springboks & All Blacks v Argentina. It’s a great stadium, well planned and laid out. Clean loos and general areas and staff cleaning handrails etc. no wine choice.. my only complaint was getting in! 35-40,000 fans and no thought to queuing ..lots of pushing and shoving and felt really concerned for those with kids. No 1.5 m distancing but all with masks. Once inside masks off for the majority. fed up with old fellas falling on top of me, drunk or sober and overweight fellas taking half of my $185 seat. I’d get there earlier in future and get an end seat.
Go Wallabies..fantastic match.

Went to the 1st game 2021 between Broncos and Eels. We were in the members area 2 adults with 9 yr old twins and 10 year old. Fantastic seats on halfway and as it was my 1st visit to Suncorp for NRL I was really looking fwd to it. The yobbo behind us spilt his beer into my daughters seat then got lippy and was swearing and carrying on. The guy sitting next to my wife spilt his beer all over her dress earlier. The guys behind were ejected just before half time. We left soon after. Having just moved to Brisbane and my wife and children's first experience with League they want nothing to do with it. Really disappointing. We'll never go to a night game again.

Being a Leeds Rhinos fan who has attended the Rugby League Magic weekends in England it was an opportunity not to be missed with my daughter and her Australian family.
Saw my adopted team Parramatta Eels play for the first time and versus NZ Warriors which was followed by Melbourne Storm v Dragons.
A stunning stadium which has been designed with acoustics in mind.

Travelling to State Of Origin game 2 Match on 21st June. We will be travelling from Surfers Paradise. Are there trains that run after the match back to surfers paradise? I can plan my journey to the stadium via travel link for the way there however the way back it says there are no options. If the public transport is not open; what do people suggest?
Thanks in advance.

Bus to Landsborough Station and then train to Brisbane.
See web for details.
When you buy your train ticket ask whether you can get out at Roma Street, Milton or only Central Station. The walk from Central takes about 25 min, from Roma St about 15 min and from Milton about 4 minutes.

Travelling to watch England v wallabies on Saturday. Anyone got any suggestions on pre match pub? Decent atmosphere/close to the stadium

The Caxton Street Hotel if you want the sporty atmosphere - alternatively Lefty's Old Time Music Hall (also located on Caxton Street) is unreal! Like nothing else in Brisbane. Best whisky bar and live music.

Toowoomba, Australia
Hi there - we are travelling to Suncorp from Toowoomba for Foo Fighters on 24 Feb.
I would appreciate anyones advice on where to find SECURE parking & best form of travel to the stadium from the parking facility.
Many Thanks!
Written 2 February 2015
The nearest Secure Parking Station is in Little Cribb St, Milton which is about a five minute walk to the Stadium. but I know it is well patronised on Stadium event days so my advice would be to get in there early.
