Wow! Best tour to sight Dolphins, Dugongs, and Wobbygongs and more

We enjoyed a fun filled day of dolphins swimming next to the boat, snorkelling in the wrecks, and floating next to dugongs. The staff were friendly, and expert wild life spotters, sharing knowledge. They also helped us feel safe during the snorkeling and I enjoyed the route surrounded by thousands of fish and the gentle pace we swam through the wrecks. Watching the bird hunt fish while we were snorkeling was a real treat. I had never seen a dugong before and the captain gently floated the boat near the sea grass and shortly one surfaced and was beautiful to see this interesting creature. The lunch provided was tasty and hit the spot. All and all an amazing day. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

You would be well looked after!

Highlight of our trip. Boat and crew were very punctual and explained details of the trip very clearly. We decided to go ahead with snorkelling paying the $20 fee for the guided tour on the wrecks. Lots of help from the crew and lifesavers around to help you feel safe. Great service provided by Dolphin Wild. Food was good. Sandwich and fruit provided.

What a great day out

It was a last minute decision to go on the cruise and we are so glad we did. The crew are exceptional and treat you as one of the family. They make sure you have a great time and didn't disappoint in finding the gorgeous marine life that lives in our wonderful Moreton Bay Marine Park - at one stage we had over a dozen dolphins swimming alongside the boat. We will be back for sure! Thanks again to all the crew for making it such an enjoyable day!

Poor Customer Service

We made a genuine booking error with the dates muddled up, the website was difficult to navigate, and as a result, we missed our trip, as we were expecting to cruise on a later day.

When we simply tried to ask for a refund or a reschedule, the company’s email response was very rude, calling us a “no show”. They claimed that they had tried to contact us, of which we have no record. This seemed like a rehearsed response and similar to other reviews. It was a very surprising over-the-top reaction to be treated like this from a tourism company that surely depends on a good reputation. They then even threatened us, if give a bad review or look into our rights as a consumer, stating that they have all our details!!!!

End result they took $400+ from my family at Xmas, implying this is okay because they are a “small family business”.

I strongly discourage anyone booking with this company with zero communication skills and very poor customer service.

Dear Birine Szabó Ildikó & Andrew Biiri , you booked a cruise online and no showed. The staff tried to ring you but no answer, we even delayed departure for you. Due to COVID we have been directed by the Govt to reduce numbers we can take on each cruise - we could of filled your places 3 times. Your booking form states you need to reconfirm 24 hrs out from cruise departure. If you had done this we could of corrected your mistake and transferred you to another date. You contacted us 3 weeks AFTER not showing up, not only demanding a refund but threatening us with negative reviews if you didn't get your refund. You also tried to blame us for the incorrect booking - which you did online yourself - then tried to blame the system saying it changed your date. Sometimes you have to accept it was your fault and not make a small family business who has suffered terribly during COVID pay for your mistake. Your threatening treatment to the staff is also totally unacceptable!!!! Our local tourism board Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism, our local council and the tourism boards have had enough of this threatening treatment of operators trying to navigate the difficulties of COVID. They take a very dim view of threats and have notified all businesses to take it seriously and report this to the police.

Beautiful day on the water

We had a lovely day with Dolphin Wild in the blue-green waters off Moreton Island. Dolphins bright their calves to spin and race alongside our boat as we cruised over to Tangalooma. We snorkeled with a rainbow of fish, sting rays, turtles and starfish. A simple lunch and then a cruise around some interesting historical sites with Captain Alan regaling us with history, science and folklore. No dugongs that day, but everyone deserves a day off! Thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Great day out

We booked an Eco & Snorkle Cruise on Moreton Island to catch up with family in the holidays and it did not disappoint. We left on time, the staff are amazing, efficient and really lovely. The snorkelling was great, we had a big lunch, and some beach time (which including sliding down the sand dunes) and then we went in search of dolphins, turtles and dugons - which we saw all of. The dolphins had a baby with them and the whole pod came rightup close to the boat. The trip was informative & we had a really great day - everyone was worn out & we slept like babies that night. We'd 100% book another cruise through Dolphin Wild - they are a small family owned business and they couldn't have been nicer. well done guys.

Disappointing

Unfortunately, I had a family emergency the day before I was due to go on the boat cruise. I tried calling multiple times we no answer to try and reschedule our day. I emailed to explain with around 20 hours notice to try rescheduling but did not receive a response till the day after my booking. The response was quite rude and abrupt stating I cannot reschedule or get a refund. I do understand the cancellation policy but I was quite upset from the email I received back and not being able to get in contact with them when I first new I needed to try change the date.

Hi Stef we are sorry you could not make your cruise, but your first contact to us was 8.15pm the night before the cruise by email. We are more than happy to substitute other people but cannot refill your places with less than 12 hrs to travel. As a small family tourism business we must have Cancellation Policies or we are unable to operate.

Amazing day out for the family!

This was such a great adventure for my family. The boat was lovely, the weather was perfect and the crew were outstanding.

My neurodiverse 7 year old son had never been snorkelling before this great day out and I was unsure how it would be possible.

Dean and the rest of the crew were absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond to make sure my son was safe at all times in the water, not only safe but enjoy all parts of the experience, making sure he fed the fish and saw all the amazing sea life.

The lunch was delicious and the drinks were very reasonably priced.

The entire day was relaxing and exciting seeing dugongs, turtles, stingrays and learning about the history of the area.

I will definitely be back with my family and I highly recommend this brilliant day out to everyone else.

Firstly I just wanted to say that all of us enjoyed our selves immensly.
The only thing that I would say is that I wish we could of seen more of the Wild Life.That however cannot be helped as it depends on how many are there at the time. However this did not overshadow our trip at all as everybody that was in the group enjoyed themselves very much and commented that they would do it again. This is due to the activities that you are able to enjoy from the young and the old. We plan to go again next year but may go earlier in the season. The Service was terrific and I cant say enough about the lovely Staff on Board. Even the Captain and the Owner (Lisa) took out time from there busy day to talk to the Passengers and share some of there knowledge of both Wildlife and History of the place. Very interesting. Thankyou all for a wonderfull experience.

Well worth the time and money. Having grown up in North Queensland snorkeling the island and then living in Perth snorkeling Rottnest Island and Ningaloo Reef I can say Moreton Island also has lots of beautiful fish. So easy and convenient being so close to Brisbane. Thanks for a great day I was able to give my teenagers a glimpse of what I saw growing up. They no longer roll their eyes when I reminisce about snorkeling with beautiful fish as they now share memories of Moreton Island.
