Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Skip going to Eat Street as it is too crowded, Bite Markets is more manageable and has a range of food, drinks and desserts. Probably could benefit from live music. A central fire pit keeps everyone warm in winter. Plenty of parking available and gluten free options too.

If you like eating out of a shipping container, great. If not, don't worry about parking, entry fees and crowds and choose a more relaxed place to eat.

Lots of variety of foods available - many that you don't come across very often eg funnel cakes. It's a little expensive as cost $3 per person entry and then many dishes are around $15 for a smallish serve - let's just say that we all had room for dessert! The buskers were excellent - some real talent there. It's a fun night out for a treat.

The only solution for this place, is to shut down.
This used to be the go to place, not any more.
The car park a major accident waiting to happen, urgently need more lightening. Fencing needs atrention. The entry needs lighting, as we drove past it 4 times before we found it.
As a group of 5 mixed reviews, started to the right dessert place was a good start then it was all down hill from there. The German Sausage place dried cold products straight from a hot box, my cousin gagged it was that gross. Onto our next option fish and chips could not get grilled. It looked like run by a health nut home made chips massive let down.
We then spotted Chinese a family savour over priced and tasteless. Bar to drown our sorrows, then out of the mist of defeat, caught the eye of a bloke 3 of us knew, yes yes yes The Good Junk here, our mate crushed us. We wanted a real hot dog it was off their menu here aaghhh & no spuds. Good Junk what happened to you has these markets crushed your soul. Left very disappointed, the gate fee an insult for what you get avoid like thr plague.

Bite Markets is a new street food market that has just opened in Brisbane. We visited on opening weekend.
There are around 40 different food stalls to choose from. The food stalls are set up in brightly coloured shipping containers with some displaying quirky artworks. Great photo opportunities.
It is the perfect place to sample many different varieties of food eg pizza, doughnuts, cakes, teas, mocktails, juices and so many more. The dining precinct is open air, definitely need an umbrella if it is raining as there is no shelter, there is music and entertainment and a play area for the kids. Plenty of seating is available. The food is affordable with no dish over $15.00.
There is a small entry fee of $3 per adult and kids under 12 are free.
Bite Markets is very popular. I recommend getting there early to avoid long waiting times to enter the carpark.
Anyone who visits will have a fabulous time.

Thought I would try out the bite market at North Harbour, unfortunately left very disappointed.
When me, my wife and daughter got there, I liked the set up, very similar to eat street in the city, on a smaller scale.
My daughter got popcorn chicken that had more batter than chicken, then decided to fill the first part of the pot with salad to make you feel your getting a good portion of chicken.
I decided on the Smokey ribs at $18 for two ribs and some prison mash potato running around the bottom of the tray.
My wife opted for the German sausage, which was a good size (no pun intended) for $10. Then the sausage was Luke warm to cold with a stale hot dog bun.
Left feeling very hungry.
Eat street much better food and service.

When this first opened it was amazing. So many options to choose from. And as a vegetarian that counts for a lot. Head back again and some of the places I like are gone. Head back for a 3rd time and even more are gone and my only option is Asian food. Dessert places are great and the reason for a 3 star rating but for a meal not so much. I loved being able to try different foods from around the world but I guess if everyone else is just going there to get ribs and steak like you could get at any restaurant then those places aren’t going to last long are they. Disappointing because I was so happy to have something so close to home.

Our 3rd visit and bit disappointing and appears a couple original trucks are missing
Not sure if we will be back
It is great to have this close to home with plenty room and parking but miss the variety of vendors and those with true passion for food
Hot wings, Mexican and gelato guy probably the key exceptions great operators great food

In a group of seven we had mixed opinions, some good some poor and some in the middle, generally I’d say it was slightly better than a food court.
My biggest concern was parking and access logistics, we arrived early (before 6pm) and it was ok but leaving about 7:30 the kaos in the parking had begun. Poor lighting in the car park and lack of pedestrian pathways meant dicing traffic. I would hate to have had any young children with us.
Then ques trying to enter out onto the main road for kilometres both ways would have been very frustrating for patrons trying to enter or through traffic on the main road.
Don’t not go but just go early is my recommendation. And just so you know I don’t think there is anything else to do near here it’s only the food market and some light entertainment inside.
