FUNSTARS at Longreach, Winton, Emerald and Town of 1770 - Nov 2023
Only 8 days but packed in a lot. Thoroughly enjoyed the journey on the Spirit of the Outback train to Longreach. Above average temperatures outside but Gold class coach ‘Sangarita’ kept our travelling miles very comfortable. Tour host Leanne and coach captain Chris ensured our group had the best experiences and entertained us on the bus between the scheduled itinerary highlights. Ticked off lots of “Must Do” in central Qld - QANTAS museum and Luminescent show, Stockman’s Hall of Fame, Australian Age of Dinosaurs with a walk through the Fossil Lab watching workers scratching up fossils, Waltzing Matilda Centre, sunset canapés and a whip cracking time at Camden Park Station. Heading to the east coast past Blackwater’s long coal trains and appreciated much cooler temps in the Rubyvale underground mines. The 1770 LARC day trip was very entertaining and impressed with the reno on the Bustard lighthouse and premises. Donna & Andrew

We have just finished the Eyre Peninsula Seafood Trail and Barossa Valley tour, and couldn't be happier. Lyndall (host) and Greg (driver) made everything run like clockwork, and looked after everyone's comfort. We saw and experienced things that we would have never done on our own. And I love that the tours are all-inclusive, apart from the occasional cups of coffee, and gifts, which, of course, are optional. This was our second tour with Fun Over 50's, and we have already booked another tour next year. A seamless experience from first enquiry to coming home.

Recently did the Barossa Valley & Kangaroo Island Food and Wine Trail and we both had a fun time visiting places like Chateau Tanunda. Maggie Beers farm and the Hahndorf Village just to name a few in the Barossa. Kangaroo Island was amazing and with Lyndall and Greg who were excellent to travel with as well as the other people on tour whom we met.

I have just returned from the October fantastic FOF holiday hosted by the unbelievable duo of Chris and Leanne and a wonderful group of travelling companions.
Many highlights including the amazing helicopter flight in perfect weather over the 12 Apostles, immersing in the enthralling history of the old gold towns of Ballarat and Bendigo. The paddle steamer cruise at Echuca was lots of fun with the bonus of a delicious Devonshire morning tea. The towns of Beechworth and Yackandandah showcase astounding heritage architecture. Another highlight was the not to be missed Red Stag Deer Farm in its stunning location.
The tour was meticulously organized by Leanne and Chris who were forever surprising us with new adventures to enjoy. The tour was further enhanced by an extra special group of fellow travelers.
This is my third tour with Fun Over Fifty, and I have another two booked for 2024.

Thank you for a week filled with laughter, experiences and great company. We have just returned from our combo Spirit of the Outback train and Gold Class coach tour which exceeded our expectations. The staff, coach, meals and accommodation were all of a high standard. A special thanks to our driver Russell for not only a safe journey but expert commentary, knowledge and videos to go with the scenery. Thanks also to Neil for making sure all ran smoothly, organising for us to watch the Cup and our sweep, entertaining us, amongst many other things. His banter and "true stories" kept us amused. We would recommend travelling with Fun Over 50s and already pouring over the brochure to plan the next.

Our recent Longreach, Winton, Town of 1770 Tour far exceeded our expectations. Coach Captain Russell and Host Neil went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable and memberable trip, with their informative commentary and banter and ensuring that all our needs mere met. Walking in footsteps of Dinosaurs, boarding Qantas 707 & 747 jets, Sunset at Camden Station, LARC tour of Bustard Head Lighthouse were some of the many highlights of the trip. This was our first trip with Fun Over 50 and we were so impressed with all aspects of the tour, we are planning our next trip with FOF to north Queensland.

The FOF Longreach, Winton and Town of 1770 tour delivered beyond our expectations. A small group of like minded people became instant travelling companions with Coach Captain Russell’s driving expertise, informative commentary throughout, which was admirably complemented with Neil’s care and attention to detail. Walk among the footsteps of the dinosaurs; get onboard a Qantas Boeing 747; enjoy canapés as the sun sets; experience a Paradise Tour on an amphibious LARC just to mention a few of the highlights, making this a first of many FOF adventures for each of us. this was a wonderful trip, met lovely people on the trip
Amazing Nigel our coach driver was the best, coped with all situations with professionalism and knowledgeable way. His knowledge of Tasmania is excellent and he is always willing to share it.
Arcadia our host is a lovely lady, going above and beyond to make sure that everyone was looked after with dietary needs or other needs as they cropped up.
This is my second trip with FOF and will be doing more.

My recent Inland Explorer adventure on board the supremely comfortable Diamond class coach was my first Fun over Fifty tour. It far exceeded my expectations. Driver, Greg, and host, Lyndall, were a class act, that ensured our holiday proceeded smoothly, with maximum personal comfort and pleasure. The interesting itinerary was comprehensive and varied. The use of local guides and their stories added to the experience greatly. We enjoyed chatting about the day’s experiences over wonderful food. I rate this company ten stars for fun. When someone not on the tour commented to me that we seemed to be having a lot of fun, I replied: “This company believes in fun! It is called Fun over Fifty.”
I thoroughly recommend Fun over Fifty tours and plan to do more tours in the future. There are plenty of inspiring options.
