The trip up and down the river on the Brisbane city cat ferry service is a must do if you are new to Brisbane. The cost is very reasonable with 3 adults traveling for 1.5hrs for $3 each. The kit zig zags up and down...More

Had to catch the Cat because the City Hopper was full. It was such a lovely ride. Quite comfortable. It glides along in the water unlike the ferries. It is sleek and smooth. The only downside is that it does not stop at all stops...More

Lovely way to commute to work, with beautiful views of Brisbane on the way (also great for visitors). Staff onboard always friendly, and plenty of seats (even at peak time). Nicely maintained, well equipped (toilet, drinks machine), and very clean on board. Price is ok...More

We decided to take the River Cat Ferry from North Quay, having had a nice lunch in the Treasury Casino nearby. We had often talked about exploring the areas along the river and the River Cat was the most affordable. This was your basic Ferry...More

Take the City cat to get a great view of the city and its historical landmarks. Cheap and regular ferries. Use it to jump on and off to see the various points of interest along the river.

5 days would be adequate. Time to relax in the laid back sub tropical city and see the sights. You’ll love it !

The Koala and River cruise is not the same as the city cat, no. City cat only goes upriver as far as St Lucia, whereas the Koala and River cruise takes you up to Lone Pine at Fig Tree Pocket, I believe.
