Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Being in the telecommunications industry I have to admit I'm biased but I've visited the museum numerous times over the years.

This time was to donate an old phone system recently removed from service and replaced with a new one.

I haven't been for several years but it was good to see the ever-growing collection as Telstra permits them to have more space in the Clayfield exchange building.

They have a lot of equipment behind the scenes that is just waiting for new space to become available. There are a number of working displays of switching equipment and telegraph equipment.

I will have more equipment to donate in the future so it's a very good excuse for another walk around and chat to the volunteers who run it.

A good museum to visit for a couple of hours - lots of interesting telecommunications things and some hands on for kids (and adults!). Very good guide who was very informative. Get the 306 or 322 bus from city - takes about 15 mins and stops virtually at the door (Clayfield South stop Oriel Road). After visit have coffee or lunch at My Mistress just opposite or at one of the places in the Oriel Road shops. This is a little known museum that is very well worth a visit and we think ti is a shame not more people know about it. Highly recommended. Only open Wednesdays but worth adding to your schedule.

Very interesting small museum that has hands on working displays of a lot of Telecommunications equipment dating back to the late 19th century. Very knowledgeable friendly guides.

This is a small museum run by volunteers. The emphasis is on telecommunication equipment but also covers communications over the decades. Show the kids how a rotary phone works, try typing your name in Morse code. Only open on Wednesdays so plan accordingly. Off street parking is available.
