I recently did the rescue diver course with Shane.
All in all I think a rescue diver course is one of the most valuable courses to do as a diver. You become a much safer diver as a result.
Shane takes this to a whole other level and provides a tonne of value at a very reasonable cost. It's very personal due to the smaller course size which is a massive bonus.
I'm confident that I'm not only a safer diver for myself but also for those that I dive with as a result of doing this course with Shane.
All in all I think a rescue diver course is one of the most valuable courses to do as a diver. You become a much safer diver as a result.

After starting my course with another company switching to Scuba Shane Diving was the best decision I made. I wish I had of started with these guys in the first place. You absolutely get professional dive instructors who know what they are doing and the small class size means you are not simply left to work it out yourself and you finish knowing that you know what your doing and are able to enjoy your time in the ocean. I can not recommend these guys enough so if you’re sitting on the fence definitely know you’re making the right decision by choosing Scuba Shane Diving. Just bring your sense of humour with you as your going to need it 😝

Shane Coote was an excellent communicator and very thorough in covering all points of the material. He was very present and attentive throughout the dives and did an excellent job of increasing the degree of difficulty and expectations in manageable and confidence-building stages.
Would absolutely recommend him as an instructor and we plan to return to increase our skills with Shane's guidance.

This is the second time I've dived with Shane at Flinders Reef.
The energy Shane brings makes the day very enjoyable. He conducts professional and safe diving while maintaining a super relaxed atmosphere. Shane also brings the hire gear to the dive site which I haven't seen anywhere else. I would highly recommend Diving with Scuba Shane Diving.

I would highly highly recommend booking scuba shane diving if you're looking to get open water certified. Very friendly guys and great teachers. The classes are small(only 4 people) which is a massive advantage in comparison to other courses. Beautiful dive sites as your first experiences scuba diving, overall just a great choice.

Shane was a great teacher - serious with the skills, equipment, and theory, but approachable, patient, and fun. Had a great time doing the three day open water course, and I can't wait to book in my next dive with him. Equipment is included in the cost, and all of the equipment used was great, we even had brand new regulators. Nice and small group as well so Shane had time to focus on the areas we found difficult and make sure we perfected all the skills. Everything considered I had a great experience, and would definitely recommend Scuba Shane Diving to anyone looking to learn scuba.

Shane was a fantastic instructor. Everything explained really well. He's so patient and understanding to make sure every student keeps pace with the information being conveyed. No hesitation in recommending Shane's courses!

My husband and I have been regular dives with Shane for the past few years having done dives at Stradbroke, Flinders Reef and down at Tweed Heads.
He is a great operator and extremely thorough particularly when training new divers which he is meticulous at. He always seems to balance both trainees and recreational divers really well so that no one feels left out or getting the best out of there dives.
Lastly, there are always lots of laughs and bad shirts from Shane, making it a fun day out.

I recently completed a refresher course with Shane to help me get back into diving after a long break. Off the back of that experience I have now also completed his Advanced Adventurer course and a Nitrox course. Shane is an excellent communicator and makes sure his students understand and can demonstrate the concepts and skills required to dive safely. His smaller class sizes ensure you get plenty of individual attention to help you get the most out of the course.
He adds value well beyond the minimum required by the curriculum, and he spent additional time helping us fine-tune buoyancy with both steel and aluminium tanks, and further developing our underwater navigations skills. His extra tips and advice helped everyone on the course achieve an optimal swimming position to help reduce drag, and ultimately lead to a longer and more comfortable dive.
I'm looking forward to joining Shane soon for a fun dive, and will absolutely be enrolling in his Wreck and Deep specialty courses in the near future.

I have been with a few dive crews in my short time diving- I continually move on to the next company as my experiences with them were never really wonderful.... until Scuba Shane.
Myself and my two friends completed our advanced dive ticket and Nitrox ticket with Shane. Although scheduling was hectic due to lessoned staff (coivd) and horrible weather (so less windows for diving), Shane went out of his way to make sure we could find two days to suit us all.
Shane made the two days informative and fun and I wouldnt hesitate for a moment to recommend him to anyone looking to do a ticket or a recreational dive trip. I look forward to many dive trips ahead with Scuba Shane.
