More green spaces would be great
Jan. 2021
King George Square is a large public square and available for corporate events, festivals, concerts and exhibitions.

Underneath is the location of the bus station.

Far too bland looking, and too much concrete. The allocation of more green spaces would improve this square in the CBD which is already full of too much concrete.

Close to CBD.
Dec. 2020 • Friends
Came through here to go to the Museum of Brisbane and later see the light show on City Hall, there are a few eateries around and it's a large open space with a generally nice feel.

Random delinquents
Oct. 2020 • Solo
A few random delinquents hanging around being nuisances, but overall it's a nice place to walk through

Large Spacious Square
Feb. 2020 • Couples
Had a walk through this large spacious square adjacent to Ann street. The Brisbane City Hall is also adjacent to the square. There are lots of cafes & restaurants in and around here too.
When we walked back through the square several hours later a pop up stage and seating appeared with music being played.

It is a central square and meeting place in Brisbane next to city hall
Dec. 2019
The square is bounded by Ann Street and Adelaide Streets and is right next to City Hall. It is a central meeting place. There is a council car park underneath the square and a couple of cafes on the square itself. It is an area where protests are sometimes allowed to gather and special events like markets are occasionally held. The square is not loved by those of us who are long term Brisbane residents because we remember the previous version before the current renovation. The previous version had lots of green gardens and fountains. These were taken away during our last great drought before 2011 and replaced by a whole lot of concrete, which is not as nice. The Museum of Brisbane which is on the third floor of the city hall building is a great place to visit if you are a tourist in the city.

A lovely big square.
Oct. 2019
This is a centrally located rather big square in the CBD, which we found to be beautifully lit after dark.

A Place To Spend A Free Time
Oct. 2019
A big, open space where local people and tourist conglomerate and spend their free time. It is just adjacent to another icon, the Brisbane City Hall and its famous clock.

A vibe of activity
Sep. 2019
Great to go to to see the variety of visitors to Brisbane City. The iconic City Hall Clock makes for great landmark photos representing inner Brisbane City. So, it is a must when visiting Brisbane.
