Mani was great - did a good job of prepping us for everything that could happen on the water (from wakes to capsizing) and I felt safe on our paddle over to South Bank (not a first timer but there was a lot more boat traffic than where I’m used to paddling! Encouraged questions and was a good kind of chatty with the guests - would totally recommend it! Props to the Centre for easy booking, clear directions, friendly people and all the conveniences… water, sunscreen, facilities and an ice cream pop for the walk back to the ferry!

Before and during our stay in Brisbane we kept looking online for a place to hire bikes. Several came up but either their websites were out of date or we got no response, others were very expensive. Finally we came across Riverlife Adventures, we preferred not to book online so I phoned and was told it was ok to just pop in. When we did we were met by Julian, a very friendly, professional person who quickly sorted us out with bikes and helmets to fit. We really enjoyed our ride around the Brisbane River Loop and added there and backs at either end. If you want a bike ride on a hire bike we would really recommend Riverlife Adventures.

We went kayaking - again - with Riverlife recently. Each time we go, it's an enjoyable experience and i love viewing Brisbane from the river perspective. The staff are always professional and looking out for each and every guest. This time we also tried abseiling. It was the kids' first time and they were encouraged by the guide and had a ball descending over the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. The WHOOP they let out from the top echoed across Brisbane (it seemed)

Sunset kayaking on the river was the perfect end to a day exploring Brisbane. The staff were warm, friendly, efficient, encouraging and instilled confidence in even the more nervous participants. Single kayaks were easy to use - although I would suggest at least having been in a kayak before as the river current/tide is quite strong so it helps to know how to paddle! Gorgeous views, start in the daylight, watch the sunset, paddle back in the dark - very cool. Big shout out to Gieran and Lucas our awesome guides - Gieran trying to take a photo of us under the Goodwill Bridge with a tide on the turn and less than expert kayakers trying to stay parallel was hilarious!

I rented a hardtail bike from Riverlife yesterday and was impressed by both the reasonable condition of the bike and the price, which was $25 for 4 hours. The bike was perfect for a great ride along the beautiful river tracks. The staff were helpful and friendly and I would definitely use them again when visiting Brisbane.

Our abseiling activity. It would have been better as a smaller group to get a second go. I think safety could be improved by offering better gloves. Riggers gloves would have been preferable over gardening gloves and perhaps some rope protection for the safety line. Overall and wonderful experience.

The welcoming, funny and enormously helpful Alex lead our group and made sure our 8 year old was alright every step of the way. The kayak equipment was great and the store had more than everything you could need, what a great set up Riverlife is with so much more than kayaking on offer! My husband and I had a ball sharing an adventure with our daughter, at 8 it was her first time in a kayak by herself and she was confident, safe and had such a fun time. It was a beautiful way to experience Brisbane from a different perspective, highly recommend to all ages! Great value, great day out.

Took my 13 and 9yo abseiling this afternoon. Was the best family experience. Challenging... but our instructor Samuel was an absolute legend. Super encouraging. Really appreciate his motivating words. Especially with my little girl who was a bit nervous at the start!

Amazing! Had a lovely guide Sophie, Irish girl. Our group do 3 and a two person family and a lone gent. Nice small group, and Sophie was awesome. Grey chat, professional but playful. Had. A total ball for 1.5hours kayaking up through Brisbane. Chatted, raced he run. We experienced fear weather, calm current, no sharks (shame) and a couple of jumping fish. If I was staying longer I would go back again Friday. Book it, hope for a good group, and hope to meet and have Sophie as your lead. Total legend of the Irish!

Travelling from Canada, we wanted a way to see Brisbane by bike. It was easy to arrange rentals and to get the bikes when we arrived. The staff took the time to fit us properly, we are got helmets and items we needed, and we were away. We chose to do a self-guided day, and this worked well for us. The pathways were amazing - beautiful and well-marked and maintained. We followed the river the whole time, travelling over several bridges, and stopping for lunch or coffee as needed. This is a wonderful way to see a beautiful city.
