Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In our other travels, we've typically gone with the large commercial tour companies. For our visit to Australia we were looking for something different and found it with Wildside Tours! Instead of being packed into a vehicle with 10+ people, we were picked up by Steve from our hotel in a comfortable SUV to start our Bribie Island tour - his small groups definitely make for a more personal experience. We learned so much about this beautiful country from Steve as he continuously pointed wildlife and trees out with a little history/background for each and answered all of our questions along the way. The Bribie Island tour was amazing as we saw all types of wildlife from kangaroos and wallabies to birds and even dolphins. The 4-wheel drive down the beach was great and something I've never experienced before. We only brought our small digital camera with us, but Steve surprised us by emailing us that evening with pictures from our day that he had taken with his professional camera. Morning tea and lunch were excellent, and if Steve saw an animal or if we wanted a picture of something he was more than accommodating to pull over. I can't say enough good things about our experience. I would recommend Wildside tours over anything else as the value for your money can't be matched! We loved it so much that we went on the Lamington tour with him the next day. In the end, I feel like Steve is now a friend and we are definitely making plans to return with our boys and going on some of the other tours that they offer!

Hi we had a private charter to Lamington National park with our guide Steve, he was great I would definitely recommend this company very professional.
The food was really good fresh prawns, home made smoke chicken and some real bush foods to try not just the normal food you normally get on these types of tours. He told us so much about the area and wildlife really interesting tour and the 4 wheel truck was very comfortable. It was also cheaper than doing the other options when we have 5 people in our group it so much room and we could stop whenever we wanted to take photos and Steve even help with that. What a great day we asked them about there 7 day tour up the east coast all the way to the Daintree and plan on coming back to do that.

I really enjoyed the trip with Wildside Tours to Lamington National Park in early June 2019.

Our guide Steve was incredibly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in the rainforest and shared many interesting facts along the two rainforest walks. We spent some time at O’Reilly’s walking between the tree tops and into the rainforest before enjoying a fresh and delicious luncheon including chicken and salads prepared by Steve.

The second Rainforest walk was truly delightful, listening to the birdsong and learning about the variety of different trees, plants and animals that grow and dwell in the ancient rainforests.

The day was completed by going on an off-road 4WD adventure spotting Kangaroos and wallabies along the way before being driven back to Brisbane in an air conditioned comfortable vehicle.

I recommend Wildside Tours to anyone wanting to experience a less “touristy” and very memorable day off the beaten track.

If you want to experience the natural wonders of this park as an insider without any of the tourist trappings this tour operator is for you. We were driven in a very comfortable SUV by Steve, who was very personable and knowledgeable about the history of the surrounding areas as well as the flora and fauna.

This tour contained 2 longer walking portions that require an ability to walk for an hour+ at a sustained pace. As a person who can walk good distances with great stamina but not at the fastest pace I appreciated never feeling rushed along on any of the walks.

Once in the park he took us to a beautiful lookout and served a morning tea/coffee complete with lamington cakes, of course! Then on to the treetop walk and the mountain botanical gardens, with plenty of commentary during the walks.

After a nice lunch al fresco, we were off for the 3.1 km return nature walk to a fantastic lookout over a lush valley and waterfall.

Then it was time to head back down the mountain via a off-road dirt track that was entirely different from what a coach tour would have done. It was a great way to end this bush exploration.

We had a spectacular day, saw a lot of lovely sites, walked a little (but not too much), ate some lovely food and the whole time we were entertained and informed by the amazing Steve. He was the ultimate host, nothing was too much trouble and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, the wildlife and the plants. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. I don’t usually do reviews, but Steve deserves to be lauded. Thank you for a wonderful day!

My aunt and I had a great time with Steve who's very humourous, accommodating and very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. Our tour was Springbrook National Park private day tour. Highly recommend to everyone to choose Wildside Tours and if possible to have Steve as your tour guide. :)

This was a great tour and exactly as advertised. The sights were beautiful, tea, coffee, & sweets were great. We had a wonderful and very tasty lunch as well. The highlight of our trip was our driver/guide Steve. He was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and very accommodating to all of our needs. I highly recommended this tour and this tour company!

Just returned from a fantastic day out with Steve, our tour guide for the day. He was very knowledgeable about every aspect of our visit and his enthusiasm is contagious. Drinks and delicious food were provided and we had a very relaxing day. We enjoyed it so much, we have already booked another trip for next week. Thoroughly recommended. With only four days to enjoy the sights of Brisbane, we were hesitant to spend a full day on a tour. Booking a day tour to Springbrook National Park with Wildside Tours was the best thing we could have done for our trip. Our tour guide, Steve, was knowledgeable and showed us the most amazing sights and wildlife.
We were worried that being in our mid-20s we would not be suited to a day tour, however, this trip was more than just a car ride with amazing views. The walks through the bush were of the perfect length as to not get too hot with plenty of stops to enjoy the view. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and added value that you would not receive travelling there alone.
The whole tour was extremely well set out from the hotel pickup, the comfortable car, and even the picnic lunch. We would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Brisbane if even for a couple of days or a few weeks as it will definitely be a highlight of your trip.

Thank you Steve, and Wildside Tours for the great day!
