Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved the relaxed vibe of this place. Great clean beach with long stretch of sand for walks. Surf club serving very nice food with amazing views. Good selection of restaurants and cafes in walking distance from beach. Easy driving distance to other sights if you feel like looking around.

1st time I've been to Coolum beach and it was a pet friendly and family friendly beach. Kids play on the shallow water where the ocean meets a small river. You can also take your animals and play catch with them. Awesome place to walk and relax. Surprisingly seen a few blue bottle jelly fish which you need to watch for.

The area and beach is a nice location but it seems to attract more and more inconsiderate and aggressive characters. The region is growing fast with developers cramming in apartments which is destroying the once relaxed and quiet environment a real shame.

SERiOUSLY!!!
How many of the people complaining cannot handle rules?????
Have any of you tried to keep 100's of people happy at once ?????
I spent at least 20 weeks in the park last year and just did 6 weeks over the Christmas new Year period.
I had no issues besides a big branch falling on my new car( which can be fixed) not their fault Mother Nature's lol.
People need to chill out, follow rules and treat the management like humans. My god I have seen people go off over having to follow the park rules and call them some horrible names.
It is for the safety of the kids that the rules are put in place. Insurance costs make life hell for operators of these types of accommodations and they need to be vigilant ..it is their welfare the Councils don't pay for everything..we have run similar accommodation and feel the management pain.
I love the park..stayed in my van right next to the road across from Westpac and it was fine.
They have improved it 100% from what it was years ago.
I have see its transformation and it looks lovely.
Ok rant over...just come and say hi to the family running it they won't bite likes me people warn .

Coolum Beach, here rule the dogs. The constant harassment by off leash dogs and dog owners makes the experience unbearable. Dogs would follow you even into the surf while fishing, jump at you lick you etc. and the owners could't care less. Later on our walk we encountered a lady lying on the ground with a badly swollen knee after being toppled by a friendly dog and the ambulance was already underway. As an non dog owner this is a place I would completely avoid in a future.

Heading through Coolum when I saw a turnoff and took it. We came across a wonderful boardwalk with lookout and a small car park. There is several seating areas and a shelter with artistic displays.

This caravan park is located on the beautiful Coolum beach strip.
It is close to shop and resturants etc.. Great for familys and all age groups alike.
This park is great because it allows small dogs (under 10kgs) on sites on the northeren end of park.
There is a skate park and play ground a short stroll at the south end of the park and surf patroled beach. And another park at the northern end.
The amenties are in good condition and clean. There is some noise from traffic, maybe better to stay on the opposite side from the road in school holidays?
All round a nice council run park on the Sunshine Coast !

Tucked away at Coolum on the Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia, are three bays - 1st, 2nd & 3rd just to the south of Coolum Beach.
Gems of beaches for sunbathing, swimming , snorkelling or surfing. Topless sunbathing for all ages seems to be the norm at all three bays. They are easily accessible within walking disance of the centre of Coolum and plenty of carparking.
Beautiful bays with beautiful beaches.

Visited in 2009...and only writing the review now. Lovely, quiet beach - away from the tourists / madness of Surfers paradise. Well worth it if you're in the Sunshine coast.
