Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Upstairs in Mitchell St but well worth the visit. A large collection of indigenous art at very reasonable prices. We went in to browse and bought two pieces. I am very pleased with the artwork I bought of Ronald King from Katherine. They also printed out a photo sheet of the work and artist.

Awesome display of very reasonably priced local indigenous art. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the artists. We purchased 4 beautiful prints and negotiated a very good price for original artwork with cert of authenticity provided and a bio on the artist.

There is a huge amount of really high quality aboriginal art here from all over the NT.
Phil served me and couldn't have been more genuinely helpful. I suspect he has been doing this for many years, and was able to answer all of my questions. I loved the laid back atmosphere.
It was no problem at all to post my purchases back to Perth for no extra charge.
Thank you Phil and Eddie. I love my new art and can't wait to display it at home.

Easy to miss this excellent gallery of Aboriginal art so look hard or you might just be sorry. There is such a wide range of artwork ranging in size, technique etc that it is hard to choose. The owner is very helpful and knowledgable. He has photos of many of the artists and gave us information about the artist whose work we had selected.

You may just walk past this place, and miss the stairs if you're not paying attention. The stairs are right beside Red Rooster and between the Thai place next door. Make your way up the stairs. You will not be dissappointed. This modest art gallery has a huge amount of modern contemporary indigenous art from many regions around the NT and WA. The man who runs the shop is also exceedingly knowledgeable about regions, and what the artwork means. Don't judge the book by it's cover. This man is a font of knowledge about all the regions, and who the key artists are. And he's happy to discuss price. He is also very happy to let you take your time and browse and enjoy the artwork. This man is very passionate about the art, and has a working knowledge dating 20 years + working within the industry. I highly recommend a visit to this place. But don't miss the stairs! There are also smaller pieces of art (less than $100), and books for purchase so that you can increase your knowledge of modern indigenous art in Australia. This is an undiscovered darwin gem, that every tourist with a grain of salt should visit!

Thank you for your help and advice. The information provided was genuine and sales was not pushy. There was an artist at work in the gallery today, and it was absolutely a pleasure to watch him work and I just love the attention to detail and consistency with the Arnemland style and fine line work. I appreciate the opportunity of being able to watch him at work.

It's on the corner of Mitchell and Knuckey Sts in Central Darwin, upstairs. Here you will find both Arnhem Land artists and central desert art in all styles. Engage the owner Phil
Hall and you will get an informed overview of the works for sale.
He is also willing to discount the prices. Many of the old timers are hanging on the walls or are in the racks.

I cannot speak highly enough for how much interesting and high quality the artwork is in this place. And they have so many pieces both in the shop and online.
