Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The nightcliff jetty is a beautiful spot to fish or just enjoy the balmy weather, there are beautiful beach and ocean views and a nice walking/ bike riding path. This is one of those places you can just visit and sit for hours reading a book and listening to the ocean waves crash on the rocky shore. I wouldn't put this as a must see location in darwin if you're there for a quick visit, but it is absolutely something I would recommend experiencing, especially because it's free.
bring a camera, bring a beach towel, sit down relax, and have a picnic. Appreciate the atmosphere.

Enjoy the views and surrounding area . Some people fish, swim and jump off the jetty. There is a swimming pool further along the road which is very good with parking available. On week ends two trailers serving drinks, ice cream and fish & chips.

We regularly went to the jetty to watch the sunset. Also can see the big tide differences. There are also food trucks in the evening when it is a bit cooler so nice place to eat and watch the sun setting.

Took a drive to the jetty and parked up. The jetty was OK. Not much to see really. The area around was nice and we had a pleasant walk and then sat down to watch the sunset. Sunset watching in Darwin is a popular pastime. It was a busy place

Great spot to take in the NT Sunsets any time of year. Most evenings there are food trucks from Fish & Chips to Pizza to Baked Potatoes. Different nights different food vans

Beautiful part of Darwin with the lawn area very popular and having a few food vans there was very welcome. The jetty itself is good and a great place to fish t the right tide. Caught a couple of small ones which went stright back in but the big ones unfortunatelky kept their distance. Planks on jetty are unevenly spaced in some places but otherwise, a b=nice place to spend a few hours, either fishing or having a snack and a cuppa

Absolutely loved this beach and jetty. What a beautiful part of Darwin. We wandered along the shoreline and walked out along jetty. The beach is lovely and there was a little portable coffee shop near jetty so we stopped and got a coffee and sat in the park area just watching the sights. There are a couple of nice restaurants along the waterfront. Just a really nice spot to visit.

Pick up some take away fish and chips (our favourite is Finnigans at Night Cliffe ) and head down in time to secure a picnic table from which to watch some of the most amazing sunsets you may have seen.

Every evening you get to see a different sunset, we have been here two months on holiday and no two evenings have been the same!! When the tide comes and wind picks up and there has been rain the thunder of waves hitting the shore line, viewd from the jetty is magnificent .

Nightcliff Jetty offers excellent views of the Arafura Sea which is perfect for taking photos of the sunset.
We visited through the day after having a swim at Nightcliff Pool. There is a path along the foreshore which leads to the jetty , beach & pool.
Foreshore cafe is located next door which serves a great coffee & also alcohol.
There is amble parking available situated next to Casuarina Drive.

What is the name of the rocks found on the beach in either Nightcliff or Rapid Creek? The ones I have are a creamy and reddy almost layered colour and feel slightly powdery? Thanks
