Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nifty took 40+ of us on a week long drive around the NT. He was very accommodating, had amazing local knowledge and made us laugh a lot! Nifty knew when to tell us stories, point out interesting flora and fauna, or let us soak up the scenery in silence. He knew all the right roads, got us to where we needed to be on time and kept us well stocked up on cool water. He happily changed our itinerary when we asked for it so we could e see some awesome whip cracking.
Thanks for an amazing time Nifty, you and the coach were awesome!

Litchfield Day Tour:
It was a delightful trip to the Litchfield park. Thanks to driver/guide, Merriette(sp). She was knowledgeable and informative about the bush, territory and people. The different types of termite mounds were fascinating and the Wangi, Florence and Buley Rockhole Fall were interesting, albeit crowded. The river cruise was awesome watching the jumping crocodiles so close and at the same time feeling safe and secure within the enclosed boat.

Kakadu Day Tour:
It was a long way to drive so far in one day for just a short visit into the Park and glimpse into the Indigenous Culture. Driver/guide shared his knowledge of the Park and Culture. Ubirr and the view over the wetlands were spectacular and the rock drawings relatively easy to access. The river cruise on the East Alligator River took us along the border to Arnhem Land. The indigenous guide gave us a glimpse into Indigenous Culture.

I will highly recommend Offroad Dreaming! The small group was perfect for a relaxed tour. There were sufficient comfort stops and lunch on both days was delicious.

OMG what a fabulous day. Tour guide was fantastic, the lunch and snacks were great. Highlight for us was meeting the tribal people they were just beautiful humans. The whole experience was brilliant. Suggest to bring some cash so you can purchase some aboriginal art that they do while you’re there. Was disappointed I didn’t have cash to purchase. Only negative was had to pay an additional $80 for two of us on the day for national park charge this should be included in the tour as that was already pricey.

Our tour guide Di picked us up from Darwin for a custom experience of Kakadu, Katherine and Litchfield. These sites are a must see for all ages (add to your bucket list). Apart from the majestic views of our wonderful country, beautiful waterfalls, thermal swimming locations and ancestral rock art, Di gave us an understanding of this land that we never had. We also felt that she went above and beyond with ensuring we felt comfortable the entire time. It’s the little things that make all the difference like, customising trek walks earlier in the day to avoid midday hot sun, giving us cool moist neck towels for our boat tours, having fresh cold fruit waiting for us after any longish walks, and so on. She made our unforgettable holiday worth every penny. Our bond with Di can be summed up with “How's the serenity? So much serenity”. Thank you Offroad Dreaming and thank you especially Di.

Booked this company after closely comparing itineraries from the many operators doing this type of tour, also their ability to give a guarantee departure of the tour, small group, and most importantly their selection of the crocodile tour operator who interacts with crocodiles in a respectful manner without all the sensationalism of jumping crocs. And Off-road Dreaming delivered. A great day with 12 other travellers and the friendly and easy going Annie as our driver/guide. She gave us plenty of great information while travelling and took time to ensure we all had options at our park stops if you didn’t want to walk steps etc. Well timed day with a coffee stop en route, doing the various waterfalls and water holes, a nice fresh plentiful lunch served by Annie. Another coffee stop en route to Croc Spot Tours at Adelaide River where Rex took us including Annie on a boat river tour where he shared his rich knowledge of the crocs, talking about how they interact in their own patch in the river. Yes they did jump up for the offered food but he did it with respect and care for all the crocs he interacted with from huge crocs to one only 3 months old, and we didn’t feel that we were on a croc circus trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, and highly recommend this tour operator.

A very long day, but worth it. Our Driver/Guide, Deb, was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was very culturally-sensitive and we learned a lot about the Indigenous culture. The Rock Art was very accessible, which was a pleasant change from other Rock Art sites visited (which were often physically demanding to access). The Guluyambi Cruise up the East Alligator River was spectacular, getting up very close to a plentiful number of crocodiles and other wild life. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed the Aboriginal rock art and the expert commentary provided by Rick, our tour guide and driver. We also enjoyed the serene river cruise.
The lunch provided was delicious and abundant. My wife is vegetarian and the catering exceeded expectations. Well done!
Rick provided a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere throughout the day. We really appreciated that whenever he spotted something interesting (e.g. bird, animal, landscape, etc.) he stopped the van to allow the group to enjoy it and take photos.

We didn’t go on the trip we had booked. Covid meant it was cancelled in 2020 and our daughter became pregnant so we could go this year either. I dealt with Yvonne who was incredibly polite and helpful throughout the process of booking a private tour for my wife, daughter her husband and 4yo. Our deposit of $4,500 was refunded quickly and gladly. When we are able to go I will use Offroad Dreaming.

This full day tour is well worth it . Our tour guide was Brody, he was so good. The rock art is amazing and sitting on top of Ubirr rock overlooking the countryside for miles, so peaceful. The aboriginal guide on the East Alligator River was so, so good. The food that Brody served up for lunch was good. He even put table clothes on. It was amazing. A must do in Darwin.

As we were limited for time we decided to do a day trip from Darwin to take in as many of the sites at Litchfield National Park - we had an amazing day. Lyn was our Tour guide for the day and she was amazing and made the trip lots of fun and really interesting. Just enough people on the Tour, great lunch and lots of laughs. Pat, who runs the Crocodile Cruise was excellent and we loved every moment of this tour. Could not recommend highly enough.
