Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a fantastic informative tour. Gary is so passionate and knowledgeable. The stories are told with respect and humour, when appropriate , and as a consequence brought these brave young people back to life . We learned so many things we never even knew had happened in our own country. So glad we went on Garry's tour.

Graham's tour of Darwin is fabulous, very informative and entertaining. And a great way to see Darwin overall. Graham is an encyclopaedia of Darwin's war history and provides an excellent local perspective.

By far the best tour in town. Been on this tour a few times and we always tell family to do it.
Garry is very knowledgeable and likes a good laugh. Each time you learn something you didn’t no about The Bombing of Darwin.

Garry took us on a amazing journey through the heart of Darwin, his knowledge of the bombing sites, strafed homes were described in great detail. I learnt so much about the "bombings" that had never been taught to me in school. A Must to do when in the Top End. Thanks again Garry, we all thoroughly enjoyed your tour.

This was a half day tour in a mini van. Alot of knowledge and history shared on wartime Darwin and visit to the Darwin Aviation museum - the aviation museum has B-52 bomber. I felt there was enough time on the tour to be able to explore the museum and you get out at a few points along the journey. Gary was very knowledge and a good character.

Learning the history of The Bombing of Darwin, our guide Gary knew so much about the history and he did it in a fun way a great tour for everyone to learn about how close we came to be taken over by the Japanese.

Wow, how knowledgeable and engaging Garry is. He has a personal story to tell which it makes it more real somehow. The facts and stories told will entertain and astound you. A real eye opener. Why are these events this not taught in school history?

Garry is a real Aussie block who has the gift of the gab and is an encyclopaedia of information regarding Darwin in WWII and it kinda just puts everything into perspective. Garry has a cheeky sense of humour as well

This tour is mostly in a van visiting destinations where he will tell you stories about WWII heroes and villains and share original photos with you .

Also includes entry to Defence of Darwin experience Which has a video presentation theatre, lots of relics , memorabilia with heavy equipment outside and kinda ties together everything that Garry mentions in his tour.

If you are further wanting to see more WWII tours / information I highly recommend the Virtual Reality at Royal Flying Doctors and the Oil tunnels

And if you are a real WWII or military aviation buff you will want to visit the Aviation museum ( see separate view)

And maybe save time to see the War graveyard. We ran out of time to see this due to it being based quite a distance out of town but I believe it has manicured gardens and is quite exceptional

Complete side note :
I do kinda wonder though why Darwin don’t do this better . They could have everything together like at Pearl Harbour and the tourists would flock
