There are a number of attractions in this area. Firstly The Jetty Restaurant is an excellent place for dinner, inclusive all you can eat dinner, the seafood is excellent and they serve meat dishes as well. Friendly atmosphere and reasonable price meal.

Several visits to the Darwin Wharf, the food is lovely and so cheap. I have had Indian and Thai and it was excellent. Feeding the fish after dark and watching the lightening displays in the distance was incredible. A must visit when in Darwin.

The waterfront is great. Not so great if it's raining. You get soaked getting from the car park across to the restaurants.

Lots of fun eating places for fish and chips and ice cream... Also a good museum there.... Just a walk away from the wave pool and swimming lagoon... Container boats going back and forth to the islands nearby... A working port and wharf....

There are public tables to sit at and you buy your food at outlets. A bottle shop is onsite but there is nothing to stop BYO. There is also a full table service restaurant (not BYO). I hope this answer is helpful.
