Set in a tranquil setting overlooking the bay is this modern building housing art, various taxidermy, fossils, and an excellent display of the devastating Cyclone Tracy. Add to this a restaurant offering indoor and outdoor dining.

Great little place (mostly for going into the cyclone tracy sound box) - but displays have barely changed in almost a decade - so its a go once and leave it at that kind of place.

The museum and art gallery is worth a visit when in Darwin. It is reasonably popular though wasn't unduly crowded.
