a little disconcerting seeing people swimming a short distance from the sea shore-not very far for a hungry croc to travel if so minded!Avery pleasant shady spot for a picnic

Lovely park lands surround this lake where you can go swimming, canoeing, paddle boards etc. BBQ facilities and great playground for the youngsters.

It's a lovely park to explore. You can swim the lake have a picnic,place where the children can play on equipment and be safe. It's free and very well maintained,it's a credit to Darwin City Council

Had the food fortune to be invite to Indian festival of colour Holi. It's was so nice to see the kids enjoy the water and the open spaces in safety. Great venue for functions and family picnics. Great for all members of family.

Relax by the water...dry season is the best time to rock this joint..water is refreshing..no mozzies..but watch the sandflies at sunset. Great for kids to with huge playground..loads of parking, clean toilets. Recommend for a half day out.

great place for a picnic and you can even sail there. plenty of parking and well maintained grounds. We saw a canoeist and they tell us it is croc free

The lake is very beautiful with a sense of tranquillity and laidback-ness. Being a lake in Darwin means the surrounding area is somehow practical for a family or friends picnic only during dry season. You can try your luck in wet season but heavy cloud...More

No - it is a Reserve, no dogs at all allowed. Wallaby population dwindled due to dogs, can usually spot quite a few wallabies now around East Point area depending on time of day.
